Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Full Stack Software Engineer your responsibilities include design, architecture, development and implementation of application software within Commercial Banking. Work with established technical specifications to develop and deliver defined functionality. Communicate and interact effectively with project managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Tech leads, Technical operations and users. Work with and adapt to constantly changing technologies. Work in on-shore and off-shore models. Read and understand business requirements, write functional requirements, develop detailed technical designs, and build, unit, and system test application code. Support the changes and applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases, as prescribed by management.
Required Skills:
•Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field with preferred focus on Information Systems.
•Overall 8+ years development experience.
•Very Good Core JAVA/J2EE skills.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
•Proficiency across the full range of database and business intelligence tools; publishing and presenting information in an engaging way is a plus
•Strong development discipline and adherence to best practices and standards.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever-evolving business needs.
•Demonstrated independent problem solving skills and ability to develop solutions to complex analytical/data-driven problems.
•Must be able to communicate complex issues in a crisp and concise fashion to multiple levels of management.
•Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization and across multiple locations.
•Financial Services and Commercial banking experience is a plus
•Thread Modeling, Util Packages, Object Oriented, Design patterns
•Hands on with XML parser, Web Services
•Sound knowledge in Spring framework, Spring boot, spring security, java rest api
•Experience using Tomcat or a similar Enterprise Application Server
•Good SQL Skills (Oracle 11g)
•Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work in Agile project delivery environment.
•Ability to work independently and within a team environment
•Test Driven Development (TDD) experience
•Automated Testing integration utilizing Selenium and Cucumber
•Continuous integration experience (Jenkins)
•cloud foundry - Understanding of Pivotal
Desired Skills:
•UI Development skills with Angular JS experience is a plus
•Web development skills, HTML, CSS and Javascript Frameworks (e.g Bootstrap, Angular)
•Test Driven Development (TDD) experience
•Automated Testing integration utilizing Selenium
•Continuous integration experience (Jenkins)
•Natural language processing using Python
