GIS has seen considerable growth over the past six years with over $80B in general account assets under management.
GIS is comprised of investment professionals and dedicated industry experts covering a broad spectrum of asset classes suitable for insurers. The growing group of 60 members works with clients in 22 countries across Europe, Asia, North and South America. GIS is led by James Peagam, Head of Global Insurance Solutions, and is part J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Global Investment Management Solutions team, led by Co-Heads Jed Laskowitz and Mike O’Brien. This position will report to one of the team’s Client Advisors.
This entry-level position (geared to individuals with little or no fulltime work experience) is part of The Asset Management Analyst Program and is applicable to individuals who have recently earned a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited school.  Though most hires into the Program are recruited through our formal campus recruitment efforts, we sometimes conduct supplemental recruitment of candidates with a similar level of experience and academic achievement as our campus hires.  Experienced professionals should apply to positions outside of this Program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
  • Partner with client advisors, senior team members, Institutional Strategy & Analytics and portfolio management teams to help deliver the full value of the firm to clients and prospects 
  • Create and manage presentations for sales pitches across JPMAM's investment platforms
  • Coordinate the Request for Proposal process by working with the product teams, Strategy & Analytics and client advisors to ensure that each response represents the full depth and breadth of our investment and solutions platforms
  • Build and maintain internal resources across GIS, leveraging shared resources and communicating sales and marketing intelligence to clients 
  • Research trends within the insurance universe; staying well-informed of industry developments, regulatory changes and the implications for clients’ portfolios
  • Partner with marketing teams on new product launch initiatives, client events and market research communications
  • Respond to client requests and manage client communications efforts
  • Work closely with the Institutional Strategy & Analytics team to support their timely response to client requests and build bespoke presentations to address the complex issues facing clients and prospects
  • Analyze and summarize findings from large and complex data

  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • No more than two years of work experience following completion of undergraduate program
  • 1-2 years’ experience with exposure/involvement in one or more of the various Asset Management businesses or Asset Management Product areas
  • Financial analysis, project management, other quantitative analysis
  • Expertise with Excel
  • Expertise in PowerPoint: creating and editing presentations for senior meetings
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Able to deliver messages clearly and succinctly
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and re-prioritize quickly
