Software Engineering Coach

Job Description

As a member of our Project Execution Group you will dive head-first into delivering innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. Involve in managing complex real-time projects with a solid understanding of the various financial and technical products and of the group’s business model.  You’ll join an inspiring team of project execution and technologists to create and improve implementation plan, analytics, development, that goes into creating high quality software and new products. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile Methodology- is key.

Team is comprised of Software Engineers responsible for educating Product, Design & Technology roles aligned to the delivery of software development supporting organizational change through Agile and Lean principles.

  • Work closely with Sr. Leadership and Development teams to provide transformational leadership execution for Center Engineering Excellence initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on consultative services which improve culture, increase collaboration and innovation, and introduce techniques that promote adaptability and flexibility.
  • Software Engineering coaches are allowed to take their skills to the next level by executing hands on engineer and/or development, leadership, consultation, education and presentation

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programing; Java & Spring
  • Knowledge of Test Automation; Junit, Sonar, Cucumber preferred
  • Knowledge of Pair programming and Test-driven development.
  • Possess a “can do” attitude, are driven by research, problem solving, and thrive on challenges
  • The successful candidate enjoys continuing improvement and a passion for the underlying business and for ensuring it succeeds.
  • Innovative team player with strong analytical problem solving, crisis management and interpersonal skills.
  • Apply your past experience with all aspects of technical operations to develop an innovative approach to simplify and streamline processes to increase system scalability and reliability, improve efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Fluent with agile methodologies and practices (XP, Scrum, and LeSS) and Program Management.
  • Technical writing and documentation skills. ITIL Framework knowledge highly desired.
  • Ability to deliver patterns and solutions based on industry best practices and architectural requirements
  • Ability to influence a cross functional team to obtain desired results.
  • Ability to initiate new efforts through requirements gathering and drive the engineering teams to completion.
