Description
Seeking a production applications support technical lead/manager for Accounting Systems including Ariba, DRQ, ESD, FWT, Tax Datamart and GEMS.  DRQ (Data ReQuest System) collects off-balance-sheet data, investment securities, and other financial instruments from domestic and overseas locations for quarterly regulatory and annual reporting purposes.  ESD (Employee Stock Database) is a data repository and reporting facility for Restricted Stock.  GEMS (Global Entity Management System) tracks the firm’s legal entities for reporting purposes to the Federal Reserve Bank and other regulatory agencies.  Tax Datamart is responsible for filing the firm’s Tax returns.  Corporate Reporting are the primary users of these applications but some of these applications are access globally.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage a production support L2 team across multiple applications globally
  • Provide production and non-production environment support for Vendor Management / Regulatory Applications. 
  • Maintain Business Process Indicator of 99.99%. This includes monitoring of the environment, managing and tracking incidents and escalations. 
  • Analyze data processing problems to implement and improve resiliency of the application supported.
  • Resolve and track production incidents and prevent re-occurrences. 
  • Coordinate and perform deployment, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and support of Windows Server environments for production and non-production environments.
  • Partner closely with Application Development, Testing team and upstream consumers and other L2 Operate teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for application support of production related issues.
  • Improve productivity, supportability and efficiency by automation of repeatable tasks using tools and scripting. 
  • Create and improve system documentation (Run books, FAQs). 
  • Chair and participate in Project Working Group to improve production stability. 
  • Can handle the Offshore Team remotely
  • Providing guidance and direction for team members globally
  • Metrics and incident management
  • Working knowledge of programming languages PowerBuilder 11.5,12.0, JAVA, ASP C#, UNIX Shell Scripting, Perl Scripting, SQL,  PL/ SQL
  • Knowledge of SQL Server 2008/2012,Oracle 11/12, SYBASE 11.5
  • Working knowledge of Incident / Change / Event Management Tools – HPSM, ITSM, ECMS, Alarmpoint, xMatters
  • Requirement Gathering / Analysis
  • Working knowledge of ETL - Informatica or Abinitio
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Excel Macro, MS Access
  • Business Intelligence Reporting 4.0
  • Testing Tool - HP Quality Center, ALM
  • Scheduling (Unix CRON Jobs, Control M and Autosys)
