Business Description
Market Risk is an organization within JP Morgan’s independent Firm-wide Risk function. As markets have adapted to shifting client preferences and new technologies, JPM’s electronic distribution channels have become increasingly important. The market is in a state of transition driven by structural and cyclical factors.
 
As the evolution of markets continues to accelerate driven by competition and regulation as well as advancements in technology, the Risk organization must also continue to evolve. The candidate will be a thought leader, ensure that E-Trading best practices are achieved and help coordinate across risk disciplines, including Credit Risk, Operational Risk, and Legal Entity Risk Management.
 
The successful candidate will work in the Market Risk E-Trading team supporting objectives regarding E-Trading Governance & mitigation of catastrophic risks related to E-Trading
 
Description
The successful candidate will be based in Hong Kong. The candidate will be responsible for:--
 
  • Supporting the mitigation of catastrophic risks relating to E-Trading across the APAC region.
  • Deepening the broader risk implications of the growing E-Trading Business activities across the APAC region.
  • Ensuring the Businesses locally are adhering to the E-Trading Risk Processes and Procedures.
  • Leading the coordination across risk disciplines, specifically, Operational, Credit and Tech Risk to ensure best practice across E-Trading Risk Management.
  • Supporting the broader E-Trading Governance agenda through research, presentations, document assessments and reviews.
  • Leasing with BCO/Tech/FO/Model Risk and other teams to ensure Market Risk mandated items are being prioritized correctly and are being seen through to completion.
  • Representing the E-Trading Risk team at monthly Business & Risk forums.
  • Working to enrich local MIS and metrics around the E-Trading Business activities.

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Bachelor degree; at least 5 years financial industry working experience

  • Capable of understanding E-Trading Systems, Models and Algorithms in some detail. 

  • Good project management and teamwork skills

  • Proactive and able to work independently

  • Passionate and capable of learning in a changing environment while delivering results.

  • Masters in Finance, Financial Engineering or other advanced degree an advantage.
