VP/ED Project Manager - Global Business Travel Tax (New York)

The Global Business Travel Tax group is a new function currently in the process of implementing a formalized Global Business Travel Tax Program.  This program will allow JPMC to withhold and report taxes for all employees that conduct business travel on behalf of the firm in the US and internationally and will support employees in filing associated tax returns.

This role will report to the Global Business Travel Tax Program Lead and will help drive global implementation, support the selected outsourced vendor, coordinate across all program workstreams, serve as the PMO for the program’s Policy and Process work stream, drive the set up of ongoing processes for BAU, and manage other required program functions.

The Global Business Travel Tax Program Implementation and Project Manager will manage and coordinate implementation and BAU activities between the regions, multiple workstreams, vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of outsourced vendor program implementation plan and deliverables across multiple work streams to ensure successful execution.
  • Partner with outsourced vendor  in finalizing program documents and validating objectives and program follow ups
  • Assist with PMO activities for the Global Business Travel Tax Program Policy and Process work stream
    • Maintain and manage program risks, actions, issues, and dependencies
    • Drive execution of  business requirements definition and identify gaps
    • Conduct program analysis as necessary in support of program needs
  • Provide program support to work stream leads for the Policy and Process work stream
  • Manage Requests for Proposal (RFP) processes for supporting vendors/services
  • Manage Third Party Oversight (TPO) processes for supporting vendors/services
  • Drive processes toward Operational Excellence through standardization, automation, etc.
  • Coordinate content/communications reviews driving alignment with overall program requirements
  • Coordinate SOP reviews and drive team to include appropriate level of detail and accuracy for operational readiness
  • Define operational metrics to measure program success and conduct associated research
  • Participate in UAT execution and management
  • Assist in developing operational readiness checklist for the program
  • Assist in program launch activities

  • Manage change control process across the program ensuring all changes to requirements are properly vetted with program leads and approved by the Steering Committee

  • Assist with service delivery model changes, globally and regionally, as necessary

  • Manage program budgetary requirements

  • Assist with program resourcing needs


  • 10+ years of Program Management, Implementation, and/or Operations experience or other relevant industry experience
  • Strong program implementation expertise in effectively rolling out key global programs in a phased approach.
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills necessary to keep team leads on course and follows through with meeting objectives
  • Strong relationship and influencing skills necessary to gain respect of work stream leads, subject matter experts across various functions, as well as the program steering committee
  • Strong analytical skills to produce quality analysis in support of the program as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong judgment skills necessary in order to facilitate timely issue resolution related to the implementation and serve as a point of escalation on behalf of the program lead.
  • Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with changing initiatives.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Strong interpersonal and vendor relationship management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and internet based applications
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Tax or payroll background a plus PMP Certification is a plus
