Role Description


The role is for an enthusiastic digital business analyst to work as part of a client intelligence team to service the JPM Corporate Investment Bank and Treasury Services. The role entails the development of both web and IOS intelligence applications and is a terrific opportunity for a high energy individual seeking broad exposure to the business within a high performing technology group. The role will have significant connectivity with the Front Office Business and support teams.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business analysis, an ability to solve complex data problems and a good level of SQL knowledge.



Business Overview


The department delivers technology solutions for several businesses under CIB (Corporate & Investment Bank), namely GIB (Global Investment Banking), GCB (Global Corporate Banking) & TS (Treasury Services).  GIB works with a broad range of issuer clients, including corporations, institutions and governments, and provides comprehensive strategic advice, capital raising and risk management expertise. GCB manages the firm’s relationships with large corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations globally to help our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management and investments. Treasury Services delivers cash management, trade, liquidity, commercial card and escrow services that resolve the working capital and efficiency challenges treasury professionals face today.



Key Responsibilities


  • Work with the business to analyse and understand business requirements
  • Working closely with the business and technical groups ( Level 1 + 2 support teams) to troubleshoot, understand and resolve issues
  • Partner with UX designers to develop best in class digital experience across mobile and web applications
  • Ability to innovate, think laterally and develop concepts into applications that are embraced by business users
  • Guide application development teams to ensure the new data requirements are understood and are implemented as per specification
  • Create business process and data models to ensure the development team understands the data structures and business requirements for using those structures
  • Develop good working relationship with stakeholders in multiple regions.
  • Work on multiple projects across several teams concurrently
  • Ability to multi task and change priorities quickly, including the ownership of support requests and project delivery concurrently
  • Test case validation & creation of BDD/TDD
  • UAT co-ordination and deployment management
Experience Required
  • First class communication and presentation skills
  • Able to "think on their feet"
  • Ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to articulate complex issues concisely, communicating effectively and comfortably with senior stakeholders
  • Experience with documentation / issues tracking in an agile environment
  • Must possess very strong data analytics skills and knowledge of query languages (SQL, PL/SQL etc.) in conjunction with experience of Data Warehouse & Data Marts
  • Well rounded and detail focused technologist with innovative problem solving skills
  • Experience of the full SDLC's
  • Desirable – Salesforce, experience to data visualisation tool and machine learning
