The Corporate Learning & Development team delivers best-in-class solutions for developing and retaining talent across the firm-wide functions.  The team advises business leaders on people strategies and partners across Human Resources and the firm to implement solutions that strengthen employee engagement, growth, impact and productivity.  The team has the unique opportunity to support multiple Operating Committee members, senior leaders and their global organizations (e.g., Chief Operating Office, Finance, Legal, Risk, Audit, Communications, Corporate Responsibility, Human Resources). 
As part of the Corporate Learning & Development team, the Organizational Development Vice President will partner with business leaders in their aligned client groups to strategize, implement and execute organizational development solutions aimed at talent management, performance development, diversity and inclusion, change management, career development, and team/leader effectiveness.  Responsibilities also include leadership of select organizational development initiatives/projects across the global firm-wide functions in Corporate (e.g., talent review, diversity).
The individual will bring organizational development expertise as well as consulting, facilitation, project management and analytical skills to drive strategies and initiatives in support of organizational effectiveness.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Ensure an end-to-end people agenda for aligned client groups through partnership with business leaders, HR Business Partners, Leadership Edge team, and other Corporate Learning organizations
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify gaps at the individual, team and organizational levels (e.g., through interviews, focus groups, data collection and analysis)
  • Deliver innovative organizational development solutions for employees, managers/leaders, and teams by partnering across the firm (functions, lines of business, regions) to drive best practices, consistency, and measure impact
  • Lead the approach, facilitation and follow-up action planning for talent and succession planning and the identification of high potentials deeper in the organization
  • Operationalize and manage the diversity agenda in partnership with the business, their diversity council, and Corporate Diversity team
  • Advise on performance development approach and promote ongoing feedback, development and career discussions across client groups
  • Build action plans that address employee engagement feedback, advise on implementation and assess progress
  • Consult on various change management efforts at the team and/or organizational levels
  • Manage organizational development-type projects including the identification and timely execution of deliverables, communications strategy and implementation plan
 
Qualifications
 
  • Minimum of 7+ years of Organizational Development or HR Business Partner experience in a fast paced corporate environment; financial services industry experience a plus
  • Executive presence and ability to influence and negotiate across organizational levels
  • Ability to drive change across client groups including stakeholder analysis, communication plan and measurement strategy
  • Experience managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with client offsite facilitation and team building
  • Can develop strong presentations and deliver them to executive level audiences
  • Ability to partner across a large, global firm (e.g., across LOBs, regions, functions, levels)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient data analysis skills (quantitative and qualitative) and ability to identify themes/trends
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and Word – ability to build senior level presentations and materials
  • Ability to summarize large amounts of data into a compelling story and tailor message to audience
  • Able to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities – large capacity
  • Team-oriented, actively participating to foster a positive work environment with peers
  • Comfort with matrix management structure
  • Ability to deliver results accurately, quickly, and efficiently while adapting to shifting priorities
  • Self-starter who is results-oriented and able to execute using existing resources and tools
  • B.A. degree in related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience considered
