Financial Information Reporting Solutions Overview:

 

  • Our processes and systems associated with the production and consumption of finance data are managed across a number of areas, in a variety of ways. This has led to inconsistencies and inefficiencies that we must address as part of our broader Finance Information Reporting program.  
  • One of the top priorities across Global Finance is to evolve the company to a more integrated finance data and reporting strategy – one that is globally consistent and usable for business, finance, risk and regulatory requirements.  Partnering with Risk, CAO and Technology, this strategy fits into the broader multi-year Finance & Risk Roadmap.
  • Financial Information Reporting Solutions is responsible for delivering programs and running operational processes to ensure accurate, complete and consistent data is readily available for both Internal Financial Reporting and External Regulatory Reporting purposes, consumed by both LOB stakeholders and Corporate groups.
  • The Business Architecture team within Financial Information Reporting Solutions is responsible for partnering with Risk & Finance business and technology teams to drive the vision of the Finance and Risk Roadmap. 
  • Finance Business Architecture Team – Finance Aggregation Store (FAS) Project Manager:
  • Partner with Risk & Finance Technology, Corporate and Line of Business reporting teams, and Finance & Risk Roadmap teams to create and implement a plan for the development of the Finance Aggregation Store (FAS). Initial focus for 2016 is on consumption of finance data for regulatory reporting purposes, however the focus will shift to MIS/LOB Segment reporting for subsequent implementations and we are augmenting our team to begin the initial planning and prioritization for MIS consumption:  Specific responsibilities include:
  • Support the FAS Implementation manager in developing implementation plans for the Finance Aggregation Store (FAS) to support consumption of finance data for internal MIS/LOB segment reporting and external reporting, with an initial focus on regulatory reporting but to extend to all aspects of financial reporting as the program develops
  • With 2016 implementation plans underway, work with the FAS Implementation manager and Finance Business Architect to develop a multi-year plan for delivery of FAS with primary emphasis on MIS/LOB Segment reporting but to extend to other consumers and implementation plans as well.
  • Work directly with the FAS Implementation manager to ensure plans are comprehensive, resourcing is sufficient, and implementation dates are agreed and syndicated with key stakeholders.   Oversee execution according to agreed upon plans.
  • Align work efforts with the strategic direction of the Data Sourcing and Data Reporting strategies such that Data Consumption in FAS is looked at in the full context of the end to end process starting with Transaction Processing Systems all the way through end user Reporting. 
  • Partner with the Data Sourcing organization, LOB/Corporate end users and Technology to develop for FAS the appropriate business requirements, operating models, core capabilities, and end user testing strategies are in place to support consumption of strategic data in FAS. 
  • Effectively manage relationships with managers in technology and the business, facilitate effective communication, and work with the cross program teams to assess needs, understand requirements and syndicate solutions specific to the implementation of FAS.
  • Experienced project manager with proven ability to development and implement technology and operations initiatives across a broad, cross-LOB stakeholder base.
  • Effectively manage relationships across a global, diverse Finance, Risk, technology and operations stakeholder base and relevant line of business β€œSME” populations
  • Strong knowledge of MIS/Segment reporting and External/Regulatory Reporting across all businesses (preferred)
  • Thought leader in end to end business processes
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills
  • Ability to partner with cross program leadership teams
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge        
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
