  • Our processes and systems associated with the production and consumption of finance data are managed across a number of areas, in a variety of ways. This has led to inconsistencies and inefficiencies that we must address as part of our broader Finance Information Reporting program.  
  • One of the top priorities across Global Finance is to evolve the company to a more integrated finance data and reporting strategy – one that is globally consistent and usable for business, finance, risk and regulatory requirements.  Partnering with Risk, CAO and Technology, this strategy fits into the broader multi-year Finance & Risk Roadmap.
  • The Business Architecture team is responsible for partnering with Risk & Finance business and technology teams to drive the vision of the Finance and Risk Roadmap and to execute on strategic initiatives across the organization, including the Finance and Risk Consumption Strategy.
The Finance Data Management function is part of Firmwide Data Management Initiative. The overall goal is to create more structure and discipline in the way we oversee our critical data assets. External reporting is a significant and complex function within JPMC and one of the top priorities on the overall Data Management agenda. The Finance Data Management team will partner with key LOB and Corporate Operations and Business Functions related to Report Production. This team will focus on:
  • Assist in defining the overall Report Governance vision
  • Expansion of “One” External Report inventory in terms of scope and depth of detail
  • Enrichment of underlying operating model and accountability
  • Helping define the key interactions across data management tools and components
  • Partner with Data Management, Data Quality and Process
  • Review and implement Report Governance operating model in partnership with Report and Schedule Owners and Firmwide Data Management team.
  • Drive, monitor and manage the review and/or capture of Report Inventory metadata.
  • Provide status on assigned work items for management and stakeholders on a recurring basis.
  • Engage with assigned areas within the business operations to develop knowledge to aid with Report Governance process
  • Work with Report and Schedule owners, Data contributors and with Business Architecture Team to leverage CDEs identified during Schedule Decomposition.
  • Manage Intake of  Critical Data Elements across the 37 Data Domains to meet External Reporting – Report Governance  needs
  • Provide guidance on the linking of CDEs to report cells by Report /Schedule owners and Report Administrators



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance  preferred or related equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in any of the following disciplines. Accounting, Financial Reporting, Data usage,  Technology Development/Support
  • Experience in Data Management, Data Strategy or Big Data a plus
  • Strong Project Management skills with excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently
  • Proven ability to work across diverse groups, build consensus and execute the agreed plans
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with an excellent ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge, and confidently speak about these processes
  • Strong communication (oral and written) skills working collaboratively to build relationships with team members and required cross impacted stakeholders representing the Report Owners, Schedules Owners, Data Domains, Firmwide Data Management, IT and other operational partners.
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
