Custody and Fund Services  – OTC Conversion & Change Business Analyst/Project Manager – London - Associate


Role Description:


This is a Business Analyst/Project Management role within the “CFS – OTC Client Change & Onboarding Team”.  The successful candidate will be based in the London office.  The candidate will be responsible for 2 main areas: Working in a client onboarding Conversion team working with various Operations teams and clients to ensure efficient and accurate conversions of funds from alternate 3rd party managers to JPM and also working with Clients, global operations, technology and various other stakeholders across lines of business, providing full management on projects that will focus on implementing Client raised changes into the Operations infrastructure.


The key objectives of this role are:

  • Work closely with Complex Assets onboarding, ADO Operations and Fund Accounting Operations to migrate clients efficiently and accurately across platforms
  • Provide Project management of various new and ongoing Client Change/Client Onboarding Projects in the third party OTC space
  • Provide regular reporting and status updates on all conversions/projects to senior stakeholders
  • Identify, analyse, solution and effectively escalate key risks / issues as necessary
  • Complete key configuration tasks to enable new client onboardings and change requests
  • Be a key partner to Operations globally, work on issues raised by them and provide Production support as needed in terms of Client Change/Onboarding readiness of systems required
  • Provide input and review Operational readiness  
  • Facilitate the delivery of any strategic, robust, scalable technology change meeting the  needs of business and client


Department and Team Description:


The OTC Client Change and Onboarding team is a dedicated team of project and client facing resources focused on large scale change initiatives to address Industry, Client and Business requirements across Custody and Fund Services  The group provides a unique mix of project skills and product experience enabling it to provide a consistent, high-quality and responsive approach to the way we manage and execute change across the firm. The change team is responsible for delivering all aspect of changes driven by both internal/external stakeholders; and it includes both strategic and tactical investments to meet essential client and business needs.



  • Analyse and Plan OTC fund migrations between Fund Administrators
  • Explain Accounting differences and provide reporting/presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Plan/run multiple Client Change projects and initiatives
  • Configure business tools for new onboardings and client changes
  • Gain a strong understanding of current Operational models and associated priorities for change
  • Build a strong working relationship with the business and other stakeholders across multiple lines of business
  • Provide thought leadership developing options and recommendations
  • Participate in the high level design of solutions with stakeholders then manage them to completion
  • Build an understanding of future business direction and priorities




  The successful candidate will have the most or all of the following attributes:



  • Prior experience of project delivery, business analysis is a key requirement


  • A good understanding of Fund Accounting for derivatives


  • A good understanding of the different types of interest rate, equity and credit derivatives


  • An organised and structured approach to projects and solving problems


  • Good verbal communication and influencing skills


  • Clear, concise and organised written communication skills


  • A self-starter mentality with the confidence to drive issues through to completion


  • Team management experience





The following attributes / experience would be advantageous:



  • Previous Client Change/Technology Project experience


  • Knowledge of Investment Accounting principles
  • Experience working on Middle / Back Office processing projects


  • An understanding of the buy side of the industry
  • Ability to work under pressure
