Job Description

J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) is a leading asset manager for institutions, individuals and financial intermediaries, worldwide. Our investment professionals are located around the world providing strategies that span the full spectrum of asset classes including equity, fixed income, cash liquidity, currency, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds and private equity.

Global Portfolio Implementation (GPI) provides portfolio implementation services for discretionary accounts both internally and at third party institutions focusing on rebalancing and risk management activities. The team supports products from both Global Wealth and Global Investment Management.

The GPI Control team sits within GPI, as a first line of defense, and acts as an internal body to test the controls of the operation, highlight the health of the team and provide preventative and detective tools for the business to use to mitigate risk. This will include not only BAU (Business As Usual) risk mitigation, but also key initiatives related to improving the control environment in AM Operations.

The position requires communication directly with various levels of management, including senior management. In order to perform effectively in this function, the candidate must have an analytical approach to problem solving to assist in resolving issues quickly and accurately. The individual will need to work effectively in a team environment, adapt to a rapidly changing business environment, work on multiple tasks simultaneously and have strong organizational skills to prioritize work accordingly. The candidate must also have a consultative approach to encourage early escalation and resolution of potential issues.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
 Regulatory controls and activities relevant to the businesses supported, including client communication
 Partner with other control teams within Asset Management to implement consistent controls and practices across operations
 Partner with Asset Management Oversight & Control, Risk, Technology and Information Risk Management to increase risk awareness and drive efforts to strengthen the control environment
 Participate in other ad-hoc initiatives

 Ability to function productively in a fast paced changing environment
 Ability to conceptualize and quickly understand new processes

Experience
 Previous experience in Business Management, Risk or Control Management, Audit, Investment Product Support, Trade Support, or Project Management is a plus
 Experience in a regulated investment management business strongly preferred

Education
 A.S. / B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience required
