The Cybersecurity organization within JPMorgan Chase & Co. provides security services to all lines of business (LOB) across JPMC. The objective of Cybersecurity is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services including Security Standards, Monitoring & Protection, Assurance & Awareness, and Security Operations. Cybersecurity is designed to address the JPMC global security needs across all LOBs and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
The Cybersecurity Enterprise Architecture Team translates security requirements into system qualities (e.g., tenets) and then into repeatable design strategies and patterns. The Team designs architectural models of solutions and describes how those solutions integrate into the broader technical infrastructure of the firm. In partnership with development teams, the Cybersecurity Enterprise Architecture Team drives architecture standards into delivered solutions.
 
We are seeking a Senior Security Architect for Data Protection to collaborate across all CISO organizations in JPMC to develop and architect a strategy and establish and maintain a catalog of services to protect data in storage, transport, and use. The successful candidate will be a strong technologist with pragmatic view and creative mind, and a natural collaborator with LOB security architects, engineers, developers and senior management. The Senior Security Architect for Data Protection is expected to lead through influence, communicate effectively through clarity of thought and demonstrated understanding of business and technical requirements.
 
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years' demonstrated experience in designing and implementing technology and process solutions to reduce the potential risk of data compromise
  • Experience in delivering comprehensive architecture specifications for complex security issues
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate various security and data protection technologies and controls into a cohesive architecture that sufficiently mitigates risk
  • A high-level understanding of modern information security concepts including network intrusion, vulnerability exploitation, data exfiltration, and social engineering
  • Experience in the design and implementation of full lifecycle data management strategies
  • Understanding of the entire ecosystem of data protection including strong knowledge and domain expertise, implementation, and/or integration in four or more of the following domains:
    • Data classification, discovery and governance
    • Technology asset and configuration management
    • Patch and vulnerability management
    • Encryption, tokenization, masking and redaction technology approaches and solutions
    • Key management
    • Data loss/leakage prevention
    • Database activity monitoring
    • Strong authentication
    • Privileged access management and monitoring
    • Application whitelisting and anti-exploitation technologies
    • Network security (segmentation, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
    • Securing credential repositories and authentication services
    • Experience with various operating systems such as Windows Server, Unix, and Linux
    • Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL
    • Host and network based intrusion prevention
  • Understanding of key industry and regulatory requirements and guidance such as PCI, NIST Cyber Security Framework, or FFIEC
  • Active professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP or other similar industry qualification)
  • Strength in both business and technical requirements analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a strong technology background with the ability to challenge or validate technology decisions from a position of knowledge and experience
  • Possess the ability to rapidly assimilate business strategies, coupled with the insight to seize high impact opportunities by applying creative problem solving solutions
  • Track record of managing across multiple global locations, with a solid understanding of the challenges and benefit
  • Experience of working in a matrixed organization, achieving goals through partnership and collaboration
  • Have a proven track record of executing on a strategic technology roadmap
