Global Compliance Operations - Data Management Operations Business Management - Associate

Job Description



Data Management Operations (DMO) team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of data for Corporate Compliance Reporting, Surveillance and Monitoring.


The DMO team partner globally with the following groups in support of this function:

·        Back Office & Middle Office Operations teams across the Corporate Investment Bank and Asset Management.

·         LOB & Compliance Technology groups (Operate and AD).

·         Global Compliance Operations

·         Compliance & Project Management Office

Responsibilities include:


  • Partner with leads to provide direction, advice and analytics across the team to ensure key headcount, financial and delivery targets and analytics are well-understood and managed.
  • Governance and Communication - Help to drive town halls, off-sites, and weekly management meetings.
  • Performance Management and Annual Planning – Participate in strategic and operational planning.  Assemble annual plan including goals and related success measures.  Provide color for resource requirements and associated expenses. 
  • Special Projects - participate in initiatives as assigned by Sr. management team including presentations, ad-hoc analysis and support.
  • Staffing - run capacity and competency models, assess resource and alignment gaps and provide organization design support across the organization.  Participate in recruiting priorities, recruiting strategy and implement best practices throughout the organization
  • Business Continuity - coordinate organization's business resiliency efforts (call trees, etc.)
  • Positively and creatively influence changes within the department and champion critical department and team initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree required and 3+ years’ experience in Operations Management. 
  • Demonstrated successful performance in Business Operations management role within Financial Services Industry.
  • Strong understanding of Compliance/Risk within Financial Services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication – must be able to deliver key messages succinctly to drive to consensus across a global organization.
  • Strong presentation skills – role requires drafting and finalization of materials for review with senior business and operations partners.
  • Collaborative style to work with team members across functions and global regions prioritizing issues, risks and analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – PowerPoint and excel.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong conflict resolution, problem solving skills & quick decision-making ability.
