Portfolio Management Associate

JPMorgan’s Tax Oriented Investments (TOI) group is responsible for investing the Firm’s own capital in earning assets that are tax-advantaged. Current TOI assets include investments in equipment leveraged leases, alternative energy projects, and affordable housing investments. The TOI group employs 120 professionals, is based in Chicago, and is part of the Corporate & Investment Bank.

This position will work within the TOI Portfolio Management Group. The candidate will be part of a functional area responsible for all aspects of monitoring, maintaining and reporting on a portfolio of structured lease investments.

Responsibilities:
 Analyze, run pricing system and monitor lease portfolio for changes in lease or portfolio status;
 Conduct portfolio risk analysis and generate reports using a proprietary system;
 Work with a deal team to evaluate portfolio risk, maximize its value and generate gains;
 Daily work scope is varied and will include cash flow analysis, investigation of accounting issues for modeling, and production of lease portfolio presentations;
 Maintain TOI’s SharePoint site;
 Provide analytical and technical support to colleagues;
 Analyze and summarize financial reports provided by lessees.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree
• Strong computer capabilities and willingness to learn – including proficiency in Excel and Word; Familiarity with SharePoint, PowerPoint, Bloomberg a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once and remain organized
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good judgment and business acumen
• Interest in projects requiring data entry and analysis
• Ability to define and manage processes
