The Global Wealth Management (GWM) Supervisory Management (SM)Practices team is responsible for management, support and coordination for a team of 115+ SMs in GWM who supervise the Front Office Market Teams and Capital Markets and Solutions areas.  This team partners with the CEOs of  PB US, PB LaTAM, PB EMEA, PB ASIA, JPMS and Global Solutions to ensure appropriate oversight.  In addition, the team works closely with Oversight & Control, Compliance, Legal, Risk and Internal Audit. 
 
We are currently seeking a VP level candidate in our New York City location that will have responsibilities for Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs) for GWM SM Function globally.  This role will focus primarily on the following:
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Monitoring changes to investment business practices and products, ensuring that WSPs, controls are strong and up to date.
  • Creation of new WSPs and ongoing management of existing WSPs based on changes to regulation, compliance policies, processes and business initiatives. This includes WSP additions or changes mapped from RCSA action plans & validations, findings from Compliance testing or Internal Audits.
  • Collaboration and partnership with Regional SM Team Leaders, the business and with second line of defense partners in Compliance, Risk and Legal on procedures.
  • Draft communications to GWM SMs on new policies, procedures and practices  
  • Support delivery of training to relevant SM population.
  • Ability to study current business processes to identify solutions to improve efficiency.
  • GWM SM team web tab updates- in coordination with other practices team members.
  • 4+ years of experience in working in a Supervisory, Compliance, Risk or Control /Audit function
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management and retail brokerage supervisory and operational regulations, processes and procedures
  • Superior organizational skills and experience Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and working together to find solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to  partner and collaborate across the organization to meet required project deliverable dates
  • Deliver work product in a clear and organized manner
  • Series 7, 63, 24 and 9/10 a plus
