The Global Compliance Operations (GCO) organization provides management and oversight associated with operational support for Global Compliance including the development of operational centers of excellence for compliance functions which are operational in nature including: Alert Operations (Level 1 Alerts Disposition), OFAC/Client Screening, Due Diligence, Look Backs, Disclosure of Interest, Account Activity Reviews, Personal Account Dealing, and Licensing & Registration.  

GCO is responsible for supporting and leading aspects of the firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program. The team works closely with the AML Program Management Office, Global Financial Crimes Compliance and the enterprise-wide control program teams to identify, remediate and track issues, and develop controls to sustain improvements as they are made. The company's responsibilities related to Anti-Money Laundering span every business, function and region - and apply to every customer and client of the firm.
 
Compliance Data Management Operations is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of data for corporate compliance reporting.  The team works across the various businesses at JP Morgan to secure necessary data from source systems and reviews inbound data to assure quality.  The team is responsible for analyzing and understanding the data issues within the key Compliance functions and determining what services Data Management can provide to support each functions Data needs.  The team partners across the firm with operations, technology and other Compliance Operations teams to provide ongoing support to identify and resolve data issues, institute data standards, perform data validations, completeness and reconciliations, provide exception management, and ensure compliance with data dictionary, ongoing change management and data governance.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Perform data analysis on various data sets to obtain details on data issues (source data coming in, characteristics of problem, repeat issue, etc.) in order to identify issue trends and patterns of data breaks
  • Monitor the data quality and completeness of assigned portfolio (feed files) into and throughout the AML environment
  • Prepare summary results including metrics on results of data analysis
  • Work with LOB counterparts to review metrics and define remediation process
  • Track all data quality issues and provide feedback into recurring metrics process
  • Run UAT for validation rules and new releases to the portal for Global Compliance Operations

  • 2+ years of Operations experience, preferably with a familiarity with Compliance functions (prior work with business process documents, either on the business or technology side).
  • Experience with UAT and data flows
  • Demonstrated superior problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to identify issues, seek solutions and gain consensus regarding outcome
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse group of both technical and nontechnical resources  
  • Highly disciplined individual, self-motivated, delivery focused with the ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and detailed data analysis experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills
  • Team player adaptable to changing environment, with great interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required for data analysis (e.g. use of pivot tables and v-lookups)
