The Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions team (WCAS) is responsible for implementing key credit risk practices across Wholesale businesses, and ensuring consistency in methodologies within Wholesale Credit Risk. WCAS’ areas of responsibility include Traditional Credit Product stress testing, developing the firm's authoritative wholesale credit risk parameter data set, reserve/allowance management, development and implementation of an economic credit capital model, the construction and integration of credit and capital limits, risk grading methodology, and the provision of strategic advice and solutions to the originating businesses.


The Wholesale Allowance team within WCAS is responsible for producing, analyzing and validating the Wholesale portfolio allowance for held-for-investment loans and lending related commitments. The allowance-related analyses and reports are used by audiences both internal and external. The group also conducts a variety of allowance impact analyses under a multitude of scenarios.


The team is looking to fill an experienced Analyst role that will be responsible for calculating, forecasting and analyzing the Wholesale Allowance for Credit Losses, which is reported externally in the Firm’s press release and regulatory filings. Additionally, the Analyst will be involved in various initiatives related to methodology, process and data completeness, which will require close collaboration with other teams within WCAS as well as with Firm-wide partners across Wholesale.



  • Define requirement and analysis for creating analytics dashboard and data visualization; participate in UAT and production testing
  • Preparing, analyzing and validating results through analysis and discussion with the lines of business
  • Forecasting allowance and credit costs by partnering with lines of business and obtaining/discussing pipeline information
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects involving scenario / allowance impact analyses based on inputs from senior management and/or Accounting Policy
  • Working with the technology, LOB Controllers and other partners to implement changes to methodology and enhance processes and data quality
  • Assisting  in the preparation of quarterly reports for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Working with internal and external auditors and regulators to ensure Allowance for Credit Cost processes and procedures meet all the Compliance and Regulatory requirements
  • Potential to rotate into one of the other WCAS teams depending on need and fit at some point


  • Bachelors degree; concentrations in engineering/statistics/accounting and/or finance are pluses as is a CFA
  • Strong technical skills in using Excel, Power point and Access. SQL knowledge is essential; experience with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus.

  • Data analysis, understanding of concepts and experience working with relational databases, data structures, SQL, and BI tools will be viewed favorably

  • Strong analytical skills in forecasting and interpreting results and comfortable working with large quantities of data
  • Knowledge of traditional credit products and our internal primary onboarding and credit risk systems
  • Knowledge of corporate finance and cash flow based valuation methodologies
  • Strong technical skills in using Excel, Powerpoint and Access; VBA and SQL skills are pluses
  • Strong project management skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple points of contact in order to achieve results
  •  Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  •  Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral; comfortable with conveying specific data requests to data providers and presenting information to Senior Management
  • Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems creatively while working in a dynamic and challenging environment
