CIB – Custody & Fund Services - EMEA Investment Middle Office Services: Product Management - Vice President

Job Description

This role will be responsible for a broad range of product management related functions including, sales/RFI/RFP support, business operations, risk, control, governance, finance & regulatory related matters.
This individual will work closely with the MOS Global & Regional Product Management Executives to design & implement a globally consistent and well controlled business operation.  Day-to-day responsibilities will involve this person working closely with functional business partners, including product managers, sales, client service, operations, finance, business control oversight, operations control management, technology, legal, and risk.
 
Product Management Support
Partner with the MOS Product Executives in developing the MOS product definitions, service level definitions, & associated service level agreements.
Manage all NBIA activity associated with the MOS business operations
Partner with the MOS Product Executives to develop a standardized rate card & implement the end to end data capture process to ensure timely & accurate product billing in an end to end STP manner
Track & report on business and client performance & profitability for the MOS business.
 
Sales Support
Partner with Sales, Client Service, Client Solutions, RFP Team, & Consultants to perform various sales related activities, including:
Develop & manage sales literature & design sales force/client service education programs to ensure sales person/client service competency in MOS product offering
Support RFI/RFP participation & responses
Manage Deal Pricing, contract review, & profitability summaries for RFPs and Organic Growth
Directly liaise with key clients & internal stakeholders to ensure best in class service delivery by entire team
Ensure 100% of evidence of review when preparing and reviewing Deals & contracts.
 
Controls & Operations
Serve are primary liaison to internal control organizations representing the global product offering as well as manage the delivery of SOC1/SOC2 certifications
Drive and execute the semi-annual CSA scoring and refresh process for Product Management, while ensuring close coordination with BCO, Operations, OCM & Technology. 
Ensure issues are escalated, tracked, and addressed within agreed timeframes.  Project Management of control related matters and various remediation efforts.
Ensure controls and industry standard reporting requirement are both appropriate and robust in design, to reduce operational, audit and regulatory risks.
Coordinate with MOS Product Management Executives in order to implement a comprehensive program for monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring implications, dependencies and linkages are understood and eliminate regulatory ‘blind spots’.
Monitor and control commercial contract information for the purpose of negotiating new client contracts. Evaluate and measure appropriate methodology for allocating cost for P&L projections.
Coordinate with OCM and Operations partners to ensure business resiliency plans are appropriate and effective.
Partner with MOS Product Executives and Finance & Business Mgt to ensure accuracy of budgets, investment allocations, revenue, and expenses associated with the global MOS offering.
 
Governance & Oversight
Partner with MOS product development to ensure client and internal change management programs are sufficiently meeting contractual obligations and service delivery benchmarks.
Partner with Operations and technology to deliver SLA reporting methodology and framework to achieve contractual requirements.  Manage the reporting, retention, and communication of SLA data both internally and externally to clients.
Manage product governance and committee related initiatives in support of internal and regulatory business oversight requirements.
Partner with operations teams to develop and standardize service level descriptions
Qualifications
 
Bachelor degree required, degree preference is Finance, Accounting or Economics, CPA and/or MBA preferred
Securities industry experience required, in middle office or back office operations of an asset manager or financial services firm preferred; Strong technical understanding of the investment company industry
Professional and proactive approach to work, problem solver, politely impatient, persistent individual
Understanding of control self assessment (CSA), or similar, methodologies
Understanding of cost and pricing methodologies for the purpose of evaluating new business
Advanced analytical skills & strong client service orientation
 
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial
