The Lease Administration team is part of the JPMC Global Real Estate organization and is responsible for support of leased properties and related financial functions.  Lease Administration has continuous interaction with internal partners and external clients (i.e landlords, tenants).  General Lease Administration functions include lease management, payment processing, billing, cash management, collections, desktop audits, account reconciliation's, lease abstraction, document management, collections, customer service, metric reporting, and business analysis.   Accuracy, efficiency, accountability, and timely communication are critical factors of success in Lease Administration.
The Lease Administration Analyst is responsible for ensuring proper, timely, and accurate payments to landlords and billings to tenants, while maximizing savings in both areas. The scope of activities includes managing a lease portfolio to include: 
  • Providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Managing invoice payments, completing account reconciliations, statement processing, and researching and resolving payment issues in accordance with appropriate processes and procedures
  • Managing billing invoices, completing account reconciliations, statement processing, and researching and resolving billing issues in accordance with appropriate processes and procedures
  • Ensuring high quality/accuracy, completeness and timely payment of invoices and reconciliations
  • Responsible for and individual savings goal and contributing to department savings goals
  • Assisting with Quarterly Accrual Tracking & Reporting
  • Managing incoming research items and responding within required service levels
  • Assisting the Lease Administration Mumbai team with inquiries, payment processing, etc
  • Managing issues to timely resolution, and escalating to management as appropriate
  • Ensuring excellent relationships and communication with internal partners and external landlords
  • Ensuring timely follow up and appropriate updates of rent lines with respect to property ownership changes
  • Meeting set production, quality, customer service, and savings goals
  • Participating in team meetings, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing potential solutions to improve service, productivity and efficiency
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Real Estate, Finance or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of commercial real estate or lease accounting experience and/or prior experience in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience required
  • Proven ability to manage timely and accurate invoice processing, billing and payment activities to include account reconciliations, accruals, and prioritizing workload appropriately
  • Commercial lease audit experience preferred
  • Efficient, proactive, responsive, team player with a proven ability to establish and maintain strong client and internal partner relationships
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables and deliver quality results on time
  • Proven ability to interpret complex commercial lease language and demonstrated thorough understanding of legal documents required
  • Excellent listening, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of lease accounting transactions and activities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and excellent analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Personally exhibits a strong commitment to dependability and reliability with the ability to gain and maintain the confidence of team, partners and clients.
  • Hands on, self starting, disciplined, and detail oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high volume environment that requires a work product that is highly accurate and timely
  • High degree of integrity including ability to successfully manage sensitive or confidential information
  • Intermediate to expert skill with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook experience required
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to exhibit poise, composure and confidence when confronting stressful or high-pressure situations and accountability for actions and behavior
