The Risk Assessment Business Analyst role is an oversight & control position responsible for assisting with the coordination and execution of all quantitative aspects of the enterprise-wide AML Risk Assessment process.
Act as a liaison between business, compliance and technology to assist with development of requirements for Business Objects-based Business Intelligence (BI) tool that support the execution of the Risk Assessment program
Engage in end-to-end planning of the BI tool deliverables. Participate in meetings and report on status, issues and risks
Assist in the development of BI tool guidance documents and provide training to the stakeholders
Perform data analysis and advise on enhancement to AML Risk Assessment methodology and scoring metrics, such as the number of politically exposed persons in a line of business or country
Support quality assurance reviews of AML Risk Assessment scoring metrics calculation and perform testing on the various BI tool deliverables
Drive tactical changes to support and enhance quantitative aspects of the AML Risk Assessment efforts such as process enhancements
Prepare and support presentations and communications to senior management, compliance and other stakeholders
3-5 years financial services industry experience
AML/OFAC and previous experience/knowledge with Business Intelligence tools preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience, including executive management
A high level of attention to detail and quality assurance
Highly skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Microsoft Project and SharePoint, knowledge of SQL a plus
Strong skills in time management and problem solving
Familiarity with the firm and its products and services is preferred
Must be a team player, prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
