Job Description: The role of Operations Risk/Control Manager has a broad focus on the effective management of the business risk environment within Receivables Operations, working closely with business/operations management, Legal, Compliance, Product, IT and Audit functions. This will include working with operational areas on the development and maintenance of process and control flows, monitoring metrics for increased risk, risk and control self assessments (RCSA process), control testing and tracking of action plan completion. A component of the role includes development of recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency. The specific focus of this role is the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Lockbox Operations.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-going risk assessments and control testing to identify control gaps/issues in the operations, recommend and assist in implementing action plans to close the noted gaps/issues, and track action plans to completion.
  • Manage RAMP testing and other risk activities to ensure Receivables Ops sites adhere to client requirements, internal and corporate policies, SOPs, standards, etc.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, Compliance, clients, etc. during on-site audits/reviews as needed. 
  • Actively participate in planning for potential disaster events, testing business continuity plans, and throughout actual events.
  • Analyze and report data breaches as applicable; perform research/investigation to identify root cause; recommend appropriate remediating actions as needed. 
  • Lead/Participate in various Receivables projects/initiatives to ensure risk issues are considered, control weaknesses are identified and resolved, and compliance with applicable requirements, policies and SOPs 
  • Lead/Participate in various Banking Ops Operational Control Management projects/initiatives/workstreams covering varying topics requiring data analytics, process implementation, risk management, etc.  
  • Address ad-hoc inquiries/concerns received from Receivables Ops partners by assessing the applicable activity, performing the proper research and investigation, working with business partners, etc. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Receivables Operations, Risk Management, Audit or other internal control-related function
  • Highly detailed-oriented and analytical; must be able to grasp, analyze and apply new information in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability and comfort in communicating with various business groups and levels of management within and external to the LOB
  • Highly organized; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to meet target deadlines
  • Self-starter; ability to manage BAU workload and projects with minimal direction
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 25%)
