Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.

 

GTI Vendor Management manages vendor relationships, optimizes cost, improves vendor performance, and manages risk.  Vendors play a major role in GTI’s ability to deliver secure, resilient, cost effective services to the firm – optimizing our vendor relations and getting the best vendor performance is critical to our success. 

 

Enterprise Software Asset Management (eSAM) is aligned to GTI Vendor Management.   eSAM’s scope is to provide end-user desktop and distributed server software deployment, usage, entitlement data for all software deployed at the firm.  It also manages all 3rd-party license compliance matters.   eSAM normalizes discovery, purchase, deployment, usage metering and request software data to a golden source software product catalog to create consistency in reporting of software assets and usage throughout the firm for vendor MIS, regulatory, audit and compliance needs.

 

JPMorgan Chase & Co is actively seeking a Data Quality Lead for the Enterprise Software Asset Management team.

  • This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership, technical and analytical expertise as well as an aptitude for business requirements documentation, designing system process flow as well as providing functional requirements for development teams
  • The Data Quality Lead must effectively communicate between Enterprise Software Asset Management team leads, the various teams responsible for the System of Records feeds into the SWCMDB, and Application Development teams
  • The primary objective of this role is to be the ESAM Data Quality lead
  • This will include establishing a new function within the ESAM organization focused on developing and implementing a data quality framework to be applied to the SWCMDB, Software Compliance Engine, Software Catalogues, Third Party Data Providers, Corporate Referential Data Stores (Verum), and Reporting Portals
  • The individual will represent the ESAM data quality function on firm wide Data Quality and Governance initiatives across JPMC
  • This role will impact the quality of software Compliance, Governance, and Reporting globally across the JPMC environment

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Develop and implement standards for data quality that ensures reliability and accessibility to support the mission and activities of Enterprise Software Asset Management
  2. Lead Data Quality efforts as part of the overall data controls framework partnering with cross-functional activities across Compliance, Governance, Fulfillment, and Reporting
  3. Drive actionable data governance across the SWCMDB, Compliance Engine, Third Party data providers, JPMC Technology Catalogue, and Verum (GTI Referential Data)
  4. Establish a data stewardship workflow and communication program for the System of Record(s) supporting the SWCMDB
  5. Manage data quality, governance, and synchronization efforts across firm wide software catalogues for Technology Governance, Fulfillment, and Deployment functions including policies, standards, and processes
  6. Manage the data normalization of all System of Record feeds into the SWCMDB, Compliance Engine, and Corporate Referential Data Store
  7. Develop analytics that will further provide proactive insight to data quality problems leading to remediation efforts
  8. Further develop the Issue Management Reporting and Resolution function into a “Business as Usual” process. This includes data stewardship alignment on data quality issues, remediation plans, and developing enhanced business processes to meet the needs of cross functional teams
  9. Develop data quality measures and reporting to improve the quality and comprehensiveness of the ESAM data
  10. Work with the firm wide technology teams to support data management policies, standards, and practices across JPMC
  11. Support JPMC’s strategic vision for data quality management and governance

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • ITIL v.3 certification (Foundation at minimum)
  • 2-5 years' experience as a Business/Data Analyst
  • Outstanding communication and documentation skills as well as the ability to assess the needs of users and translate these into accurate and accessible reports are essential
  • Strong Business Requirements documentation skills
  • Experience working with Big Data is strongly desired
  • Proven experience with data driven decision making required
  • High level of curiosity and investigative mind-set with an attention to detail
    Demonstrated ability to do statistical analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to be proficient at querying and managing data
  • Experience using large databases to solve problems
  • Experience with BI tools
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel and Visio
  • Excellent understanding of data and relationship
  • Ability to write SQL to query complex data structure
  • Strong background in data modeling, data management and data manipulation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and highly experienced at dealing with clients/users at all levels, singly and in groups
  • Demonstrated sense of logic, creativity, decision making and problem resolution
  • Ability to multi-task and provide high quality solution under pressure
