Global Real Estate Texas Cluster/Hub Lead, Americas South Region

Global Real Estate's (GRE) Americas South Region expands over 10 million square feet across the southern United States and Latin America, covering approximately 140 properties - including 6 of the 18 globally designated Strategic Hubs - and housing over 43k seats.  Americas South annual expense base is over $265MM, and its capital budget is over $725MM (yr 2016). The Texas Cluster/Hub Lead is a key position within the GRE Americas South organization, directly reporting into the Region Head.


Candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the corporate real estate business and have ample experience in the field. He/She must have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to integrate various functional disciplines towards the achievement of common goals.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Accountable for proactively engaging with and acting as GRE Single Point of Contact with CAO Site Leaders (including participating in Site/Location Leadership team meetings) for all Hubs under responsibility (i.e., Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston)
  • Act as coordination point for all GRE functions and related activities within the Hubs.
  • Work with all applicable stakeholders (including CLS, GRE Strategy and LOB Real Estate Execs) in order to  understand forecasted growth/reduction plans and major project/portfolio activities to ensure Hub management is responsive, effective and agile.
  • Ensure occupancy/vacancy levels, as well as other applicable RE metrics, are well understood and actively reported and managed
  • Oversee annual Operating Expense and Capital Budget development and assist in the on-going monitoring of financial results for the properties under responsibility.
  • Actively participate in the development of a strategy for each Hub in the portfolio under responsibility, and ensure annual plans for each property are consistent with long term Strategy.
  • Act as chief conduit for the implementation of the Hub 3 - 5 Year Real Estate Strategy, through partnerships with GRE Strategy and local JPMC Leadership and Stakeholders.
  • Partner with all Hub stakeholders to accommodate short-term employee  space requirements/moves-adds-changes & provide a seamless transition process for employee moves.
  • Produce GRE Reporting & Analyses that includes all relevant real estate-related Hub activities (current and projected).
  • Serve as the Local Leader & Integrator for all Real Estate initiatives, objectives, aligning Enterprise & LOB  interests by building consensus & driving decisions.
  • Establish Annual & Periodic LOB Executive GRE Reporting & Analyses that capture the salient, need to know and value-added information
  • Champion High Performing Workplace (HPW), including existing  standards for density, office sizes, workstations, conferencing, audio-visual, telepresence, etc., to achieve optimum LOB participation and adoption (such as Choice Seating implementation as required/applicable)
  • Ensure thoughtful & consistent integration of Technology, GTI, Compliance, Amenities, Security, Resiliency, Marketing, Communications, HR & Finance in LOB Real Estate Strategy 
  • Minimum 15-20 years experience in the corporate real estate business / industry.
  • Proven management track record and understanding of the complexities of real estate strategy and the integration of its various functional disciplines.
  • Possess strong program management and organizational skills, including ability to create integrated project plans and manage to deadlines and financial targets.
  • Strategic thinker with sound analytical skills. Display the ability to understand and translate strategic initiatives into tactical plans, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to drill into the detail as necessary.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills as well as superior influencing and relationship management skills (role as Ambassador is essential)
  • Must be a team-player and illustrate agility toward aligning LOB and JPMC Objectives. Must have a collaborative and participative management style
  • Demonstrate professionalism, commitment,  sensitivity, discretion & sound decision making.
  • Ability to effectively interact with Business and Corporate Leaders/Executives, ensuring alignment of Local, Regional and Global GRE and LOB Strategies in relation to real estate decisions..
  • Knowledge of LOBs, business processes and procedures, corporate policies, regulatory requirements, etc. Possess strong financial services acumen.
  • Embrace, exemplify and propagate the JPMC culture and core values.
