Risk and Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to deliver drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSi), and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients. RFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets, and reporting tools and the Risk applications. Continual enhancement of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and systems through a robust information security agenda is a key strategic objective of JP Morgan Chase. Cyber Security and Identity & Access Management are growing areas with significant senior management support. A number of workstream, programs and projects are planned to further enhance the security and controls across the company.


The CISO organization within Risk & Finance Technology is looking for an Information Risk Analyst / Business Analyst to join the Identity & Access Management team.  The I&AM team coordinates closely with the Global Identity & Access Management team and all other lines of business to develop firm-wide projects and priorities and works with Risk & Finance Technology on implementation.  The team works in the areas of access management, entitlements, access provisioning and recertification and maintains a central Entitlements platform. In the role, you will work with developers, Information Owner’s and Compliance to ensure entitlements are appropriately set up, have the appropriate administration, ownership, approvals and are in compliance with firm-wide policy and work as a Center of Excellence role to support RFT apps in areas of access administration, Request Management  and Recertification..


The successful candidate will be responsible for working within one of the highest growth areas within JP Morgan Chase. The candidate will work on supporting the existing applications within the Entitlement’s platform and onboarding new applications. The role supports both technology and the business in providing end to end requirements in defining the entitlements required for the application from a functional as well as a data perspective. The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of Identity & Access Management, Entitlements and Provisioning and have experience in financial services and/or consulting. The role will be part of the RFT Chief Information Security Office and will be based in Brooklyn


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the onboarding of new applications to the Entitlements framework from inception to go-live, managing all aspects for the project along the way
  • Manage expectations, timelines and prioritize working with the Application Development Manager’s (ADM) and RFT Entitlements Development team
  • Provide BAU support to existing applications and or enhancements
  • Review existing processes and recommend improvements to streamline work
  • Engage with application ADM’s to ensure proper controls are in place with respect to Access Administration and propose adoption of strategic tools
  • Develop use cases and test cases as needed
  • Work with Compliance across regions and LOB’s to define data level masking as mandated. Work as a SME to guide the ADM’s on this topic.
  • Data Analysis – understand, interpret, validate, manipulate data using excel and other tools, and present conclusions and recommendations
  • Impact Analysis – Perform Impact Analysis; develop use cases to explain/demonstrate requirements/specifications to key stakeholders

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst, executing projects within the financial services industry
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management is preferred
  • Information Risk or IT Security Experience is a plus
  • Strong familiarity with project management and analysis software, such as Excel, Access, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to perform in a high pressure and fast paced environment
  • Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and delivery-focused individual who is able to work independently
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience is required
