Job Description

The Digital Marketing Group will serve as an internal agency partnering with the lines of business to build a cohesive digital marketing experience. By offering domain skill set and governance across the different digital channels, including, third- party media, search, social and mobile the Lines Of Business (LOB) marketers will be empowered with industry leading tools and analytics to drive their business programs.


The Vice President of Search Engine Optimization will be responsible for helping the head of search build a world-class search team to manage organic search campaigns for multiple banking divisions.  In this role you will be asked to develop national and local strategies and advise senior leadership on how to best meet their marketing objectives.  The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience managing SEO campaigns for fortune 50 businesses.


The Vice President of SEO will have a passion for the discipline of organic search with a desire for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in organic strategies, processes, analytics and in meeting/exceeding client goals and campaign KPIs. This individual will lead a small team of organic Search Managers and Specialists in the daily execution of search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns and well as contributing to new product offerings.


Category/Account strategy and business results:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the LOBs products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives
  • Provides guidance through strategic and tactical input to team members for successful execution SEO campaigns
  • Research performance and analytics data, developing key insights for quarterly and annual business reviews
  • Provide analysis, QA and insights for monthly reports
  • Works closely with LOB marketers for campaign alignment with client goals      

Team management:

  • Manage team in achieving all performance KPIs, including optimization and troubleshooting recommendations
  • Coordinate strategies with internal teams (Display, social and paid search) across multiple brands and business lines
  • Provide support and recognition for your team and effectively foster teamwork that drives motivation and retention
  • Participate in the training, individual development, on-boarding and mentoring of each staff member

 Innovation and Organic Search Practice improvements:

  • Participate in team innovation meetings with creative input & task ownership
  • Contribute to the development of new product offerings and practice innovations
  • Actively contribute to corporate initiatives, automation projects, process changes and roll-outs
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices and discusses potential impact with team on client work
  • Create POVs, best practices and assist in developing key process documentation


  • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience required, graduate degree a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in organic search engine marketing, agency experience preferred
  • Proven team leadership and management experience
  • Strong data analytics and strategy background
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional oral, written and presentation/communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and eagerness to work as member of a team
  • Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork
