DESCRIPTION: Conducting comprehensive due diligence on investment opportunities.  Preparing and writing of investment memoranda and investment recommendations. Detailed financial analysis and modeling. Sourcing and deal origination of primary partnership investments, secondary transactions, and direct investments.  Assisting with negotiating deal terms and conditions.  Representing and sponsoring investments with members of the PEG as well as reviewing investments with external clients and prospects. Analysis of historical investment performance, portfolio company performance, financial statements, and industry research. Representing the PEG in the private equity industry including attendance at limited partner annual investor meetings and advisory board meetings.  Preparing portfolio reviews for PEG board meetings and client presentations. Preparing and maintaining the PEG's Investment Plan on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis. Willingness to work in a team environment.  Some travel (less than 50%) may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and internationally.  No direct reports, and no managerial duties.  Individual contributor level role only.  Must be fluent in Mandarin, and must be able to read and write in Mandarin.

QUALIFICATIONS:          

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Economic Analysis, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, or economics and finance-related field

 

Experience: 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a Corporate Finance-related occupation

 

Special skills: Experience must include: 1. Financial modeling such as Discounted Cash Flow model, Comparative Company Analysis model and Leveraged Buy Out model; 2. Quantitative and qualitative due diligence; 3. Financial statement analysis; 4. Managing client portfolios by evaluating underlying financial risks against agreed to investment guidelines and providing assessments based on a particular client’s risk and return profile; 5. Providing fund allocation recommendations, monitoring portfolio return performance, and analyzing performance attribution relative to industry performance benchmarks; 6. Private and public company performance analysis; 7. Researching and compiling raw financial information and summarizing the data into a financial model in order to determine if an acceptable investment return is achievable; 8. Preparing customized reports and financial performance for existing clients; 9. Working with business development teams to prepare presentations summarizing historical performance, private equity market analysis, and customized solutions for prospects and consultants; 10. Working with financial applications including MSFT Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg; and 11. Written and spoken fluency in Mandarin.
