 The Internal Audit Department provides the Board of Directors, senior management and regulators with an independent assessment of JPMorgan Chase's (‘JPMC’) control environment. Audit works closely with the Lines of Business (‘LOBs’) and their support functions to achieve its mission through the execution of a comprehensive audit program designed to test the effectiveness of the controls in place to mitigate the risks inherent in each business. The department is respected throughout the firm for the caliber of the staff and their ability to add value beyond the audit opinion. Globally, Internal Audit has over 900 auditors.
 
Description
 The Enterprise Technology Audit Data Analytics VP is responsible for servicing the audit team across all functions including Infrastructure, Cyber, Operations, and Technology Controls. This is achieved through a program of audit coverage, which is performed and managed by a global team of technology audit specialists.
 
This role is for an experienced audit data analytics professional to join the team. This position will be based in New York and the primary focus of this role is develop and drive the data analytics for the audit activities.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Design analytics test to support audit activities, including Audits, Continuous Monitoring, and Risk Assessments
  • Develop and improve current analytics service models in support of audit activities
  • Actively participate in the Audit Data Analytics forum, and contribute to the conversation.
  • Partner with peer Data Analytic teams in sharing ideas to add value to the audit department and firm.
  • Develop innovative, re-usable tools that can be leveraged by the audit teams.
  • Perform data analysis as needed using various techniques (statistical analysis, predictive analytics, forensics review) to reach and support conclusions.
  • Comply with JPMorgan Chase technology and data standards and policies.
  • Stay abreast of new tools and technologies to assist the team in creating the most efficient and effective data strategies.
  • Develop requirements, design, code, test, and analyze results using tools such as Microsoft Access, Business Objects, SQL, TOAD, and ACL.
  • Recommend solutions as part of planning to help execute audit tests by providing the ability to automate full-population testing, sampling, reproducing processes, and identifying exception testing.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Technology (MIS, Comp Sci), Business, or related discipline
  • 7 years of related experience, combination of risk, control, or audit and data analytics experience is a plus
  • Detailed knowledge of technology infrastructure and associated risk and controls are a plus.
  • Experience working with large complex data sets, drawing conclusions and reporting findings
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering a sustainable analytical tools and processes
  • Experience with software to query and present data such as Excel, ACL, SQL, QlikView, ERP etc
  • Experience with some or all of the following: Business Objects, ACL, SAS, Teradata, TOAD or SQL required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability
  • A high level of professional maturity and the ability to work/deliver with limited supervision
  • Excellent partnership and influencing skills and the ability to be effective in a matrix environment
  • Proven ability to oversee several tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with a track record in creative and successful problem-solving
  • Prepared to travel as required
