This function provides oversight of the risks inherent in the Firm’s businesses. Each line of business is responsible for decisions relating to risk strategy, policy, measurement and control within its respective business.
CCB Risk Overview
Chase Consumer & Community Banking serves nearly 66 million consumers and 4 million small businesses with a broad range of financial services through our 137,000 employees. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Our Risk Management professionals work directly with Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Auto/Student Loan, Card and Commerce Services, Chase Wealth Management and Mortgage Banking to minimize, monitor and control the probability of risk events and mitigate the impact of risk events that do occur.
This position is part of the Consumer & Community Banking Risk Modeling team. This team is responsible for both portfolio loss/revenue modeling and customer-level acquisition/management models for CCBs credit products.
This person will supervise the work of multiple tech writers in documenting model frameworks and outputs, as well as directly owning creation of documents for senior-level audiences. In addition, this person will help modeling teams anticipate likely challenges from reviewers and regulators, and suggest additional analytic refinements/outputs that would address those challenges.
The successful candidate will have sufficient technical background to understand the strengths and weaknesses of modeling approaches as applied in a diverse set of contexts. This candidate should also have experience in managing complex documentation projects to high standards and tight timelines. In addition, this candidate will have experience in creating and presenting high-level summaries for senior executives and/or regulators.
· Able to structure and outline complex technical documents
· Can spot gaps in evidence and logic likely to be flagged by senior executives/regulators, and recommend additional analytics to remediate those gaps to the modeling team.
· Can create high-level summary and narrative documents suitable for presentations to senior executives/regulators.
· Masters or above in a field providing relevant quantitative background (business, economics, statistics, quantitative social sciences, etc.)
· 3+ years financial services or consulting industry experience
· Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications.
