The Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) Control Analyst II will be a member of the AF Oversight and Controls team. Specifically, this role will be part of a team that tests functional, common and foundational controls maintained within AF business Risk and Control Self-Assessments.  In addition, testing of RCSA structure elements and of Issue/Action Plan/Audit/MRA closures and validations may be performed.  The RCSA Control Analyst II is responsible for the overall success of the RCSA testing program for all controls within AF Risk and Control Self Assessment framework.  The RCSA Control Execution team works closely with Functional Control Officers, Operations Risk Oversight and Compliance partners to ensure findings/recommendations are properly communicated and mitigating controls are in place to maximize customer and shareholder value.  This position may interface with controls and business counterparts across all functions as well as JPMC Audit, Corporate Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Legal and Compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform control walkthroughs to understand the business risk and control design
  • Develops and executes robust control test scripts for functional, common, and foundational controls designed to identify control weaknesses, determine root causes, and recommend solutions
  • Monitors and test control and business exception reports
  • Review, challenge and substantiate inherent risk and control ratings through the testing process
  • Conducts proactive audits to target specific and high risk processes or functions
  • Verifies accuracy and ensures compliance with plans, policies, and procedures prescribed by management
  • Develops and administers ongoing exception-based queries to test critical and sensitive transactions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and identify emerging trends and issues
  • Verifies accuracy and ensures compliance with CCB RCSA Procedures related to RCSA structure and Risk and Control definitions and elements
  • Makes recommendations to enhance the RCSA framework
  • Works closely with Control Officer and Issue Management teams as needed to explain test results and remediate findings
  • Delivers review findings to Control team and/or business counterparts
  • May participate in developing procedures, training materials and/or job aids

 

 
 

 

  • BA Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in controls, risk, compliance, audit, and/or testing role
  • Advanced testing (including IT testing) or Quality Assurance testing techniques preferred
  • Working knowledge of both Manual and Automated testing
  • Strong knowledge of the RCSA procedures and testing process frame work
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in controls analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as individually
  • Preferred candidate is self-motivated and requires minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation, and influence skills required
  • Strong partnership and team building skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
  • Proficiency with Phoenix system and ALM/Quality Center preferred
  • Auto Finance/Student lending experience a plus
