We are actively seeking a Data Analyst to help analyze the science behind our data to help enhance the overall quality at Chase.

Typical Day

  • Writing or reverse engineering queries
  • Resolve query performance issues.
  • Data discovery - exploring new data sets and how they apply to our business.
  • Data Science - Understanding the science behind the data; we are not just writing queries rather we are understanding what is means and applying that to constant improvements to our business based our analysis.
  • Understanding of basic SharePoint websites.

 

What Education/Experience do I Need?

  • You have at least 4 years of work experience using SQL
  • Familiar with Oracle and Toad/SQL Developer Tools
  • You may be asked to demonstrate the ability to write a complex query and speak to the SQL language in depth.
  • You may be asked to explain the differences between the different types of database objects and how they relate to building more efficient queries.

 

What Are My Hours?

Standard 5-day work week.

Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills; ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously; confidence to work with many teams and different personalities.

If you have designed databases or monitored one’s performance, then this may be the job for you.

  • Minimum 4 years of work with SQL - Oracle is preferred
  • Solid skills in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures
  • Strong Database skills – must demonstrate the ability to talk through high level database objects and concepts with a focus on query development.
  • Solid skills in SQL Tuning and ability to understand impact of problem on overall query performance
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL
  • A solid skill with one or more programming language is preferred.
  • Oracle version 9.x and 10g exposure preferred
