Risk and Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to deliver drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSi), and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients. RFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets, and reporting tools and the Risk applications.
 
The Credit Risk Capital Technology team is seeking for an Applications Developer to migrate its existing Economic Credit model to firm strategic platform – Athena. The Wholesale credit risk analytics team is also lo9oking to enhance its data granularity and provide Analytic features on top of the simulated data set. In this role, candidate will work with various internal groups to deliver Architecture, Design, Development and test artefacts.
 
  • Suitable candidate will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution
  • The candidate will also participate in standard SDLC process using Agile methodology and test driven approach
  • The candidate will adhere to IT Control Policies through design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications
  •  Additionally, responsibility will include documentation of deliverables.
  • The candidate will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation
 
  • 5+ years of overall experience with an emphasis on technology

  • Strong Python programming skills with prior working experience in Java

  • Working experience in Agile, Lean Dev methodologies and test driven development

  • Working experience with Avro or Proto-Buffers data serialization frameworks

  • Experience with Service oriented, low latency, high throughput distributed Architecture

  • Working knowledge of open source frameworks, tools and technologies such as Spring, Camel, Drools and REST

  • Hands-on experience working on any of the messaging technologies such as Websphere MQ/JMS and TIBCO

  • Strong knowledge of design patterns and their application in problem solving

  • Experience in building and enhancing testing frameworks for automation and regression

  • Experience with industry standard tools like Eclipse, Jenkins, JUnit, Maven, SVN, GitHub etc.

  • Prior experience working on distributed caching technologies such as Coherence or Gemfire is a plus.

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and a dynamic environment

  • Capital Markets, Credit Risk experience is required
