The Global Supplier Diversity Team (GSD), a group within the Global Supplier Services (GSS), is a unit of the Chief Administrative Office (CAO). GSD is responsible for leading the firm’s initiative to increase the amount of business contracted with certified and registered diverse suppliers.


Diverse suppliers are defined as minority and women-owned business enterprises (“MWBE”), Disabled Business Enterprises (“DBE”), Lesbian/Gay/Bi-sexual/Transgender Enterprises (“LGBT”) and Veteran Business Enterprises (“VBE”) which are certified by a JPMorgan Chase designated third-party partner organization. They have met the definition of being at least 51% owned, controlled AND operated by one or more members of a diverse group.


The JPMorgan Chase Supplier Diversity program has been in place for over 22 years, and has spent over $11.5 billion with diverse suppliers over the last ten years.


As a leader in supplier diversity, GSD is seeking a dynamic self-starter to continue setting the standards for excellence in this growing field. The successful candidate will serve in the capacity of Global Supplier Diversity Category Manager, reporting directly to the Global Head of Supplier Diversity and working closely with other team members to drive operational excellence as it relates to Global Supplier Diversity and Global Supplier Services alignment.


Responsibilities include:

  • Promote and support supplier diversity program and goals.
  • Evaluate diverse suppliers' procurement opportunities.
  • Identify qualified diverse suppliers through commodity and value analysis.
  • Support Sourcing leads in their efforts to develop category strategies and plans aligned to business objectives.
  • Interface regularly with sourcing executives and their teams to understand GSS’s current vendor engagements and pipeline opportunities for diverse businesses and to apprise them of qualified diverse businesses.
  • Help define a preferred supplier program and drive implementation of it with Sourcing and LOB partners.
  • Identifying and prequalifying diverse suppliers for upcoming bid and matchmaking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations staff connected to procurements, the Legal department, and vendors and suppliers.
  • Interface with GSS category leads, building short, medium and long-term opportunities to drive optimal alignment to key cross-functional considerations.
  • Design and implement processes to ensure sourcing professionals have diverse suppliers identified for competitive bids.
  • Prepare and respond to RFPs firm-wide, external surveys and competitive applications.
