The CCB Cyber Security team is responsible for IT risk coverage for JPMorgan Chase's Consumer & Community Banking (CCB).  The goal of this team is to consistently identify, assess, and manage technology risks across all environments. Where controls are not adequate, this team escalates those concerns and assists with driving improvements to the overall control environment. To accomplish this goal, the team partners with corporate groups, including the Global Technology Infrastructure, Corporate Cyber, Audit, and also within CCB groups including Operations, Development and the CCB Technology teams.  The team also serves the business in a consultative manner, providing guidance to the business on addressing identified risks.


Responsible for aspects of Cryptography and Key Management for Retail Financial Services, Chase Card Services and Chase Commerce Solution (Paymentech) as outlined below.

  • Maintenance and ownership of the Retail Banking ATM and POS Transaction Security System (currently BASE24 TSS).
  • Responsible for remaining knowledgeable of the firmware and operating systems associated with the cryptographic assets; along with maintaining the physical hardware (Atalla, Thales, Futuex, Geobridge) throughout the corporation.
  • Contribute to the establishment and adherence of industry best practices, security policies and procedures.
  • Identify and enforce security policies for processes requiring remediation due to current or evolving audit requirement.
  • Maintaining audit compliant documentation as it relates to Key Management organizational structure with vendor and network partners.
  • Proactively investigate and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Continue to develop and maintain the Payment Key Management processes which includes: Working with generating, loading, distributing, destruction and entire key life cycle of encryption ‘keys’ with our end users, Training and coordination of Key Custodians and Managing hardware assets.
  • Maintaining Key Management procedures relating to processes and partner relationships.
  • Assist in the analysis, development and implementation of future initiatives.
  • Serve as a technical expert for other applications within the corporation as it relates to Key Management and Host Security Modules, as called upon.

This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems. Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter. The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.

  • 5-7+ years Information Technology and/or Cyber Security experience in a large corporation.
  • Knowledge of encryption technologies, including public key cryptography, digital certificates,signatures and Key Management.
  • Knowledge of PIN Security, PCI Compliance, ANS X9/TR-39, TG-3 a plus.
  • Strong and recent applied experience with cryptography and Key Management.
  • Excellent organization, analytical and time management skills required.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and reprioritize work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
