Risk & Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to drive success.  In partnership with Global Finance Operations (GFO), Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients - the JPMorgan Chase CFO and Corporate Finance Organizations, as well as all line of business CFO teams.
 
Summary
The Solutions Implementation Engineer will be a key member of the Risk Quantitative Development team.  The candidate must exhibit a thorough understanding of cost effective software and hardware systems integration for high performance computing.  In addition, the candidate must build a solid understanding of CCB Risk businesses, functions, systems, data environments, and processes used for analytical systems.
 
Responsibilities:
 
The candidate must exhibit a thorough understanding of cost effective software and hardware systems integration for high performance computing, with particular focus on access controls and data security. Responsibilities will include  
  • Implementing systems environment for controlled SDLC by business and IT users for technologies including but not limited to SAS, Python, and C++
  • Designing and implementing access controls in a POSIX environment to protect PII and enforce separation of duties
  • Implementation of role based access controls and integration with corporate data environments
  • Design and implement encryption and key management systems to protect PII
  • Cost effective storage implementation, including but not limited to compression and cloud technologies
 Education:
Degree in computer science or a numerate subject (e.g. engineering, sciences, or mathematics)
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with three years of experience, or a Master’s degree with one year of experience.
 
Skills, experience, and qualifications:
  • Understanding of Retail Risk business
  • Experience creating controlled environments for software development
  • Knowledge of access control and data security best practices
  • Experience designing and implementing large scale POSIX environments for secure midrange and distributed computing
  • Understanding of data encryption and role based access control techniques
  • Ability to work effectively and act as a thought leader in a large organization
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
