The position is for Lead Technical Analyst on the KYC Program in the Private Bank Technology Group of JPMorgan Private Banking, based in New York.

The candidate will be leading a team of technical analysts and will be responsible for technical analysis and implementation of a large, global project. Candidate will work closely with the program manager, business stakeholders, technology project team, development team and other members, and will be involved in all stages of the development life cycle from requirements gathering to post-release support. 

As this is a senior position, candidates MUST have a track record commensurate with this opportunity, and a passion for creating large software systems. The ideal candidate will have the drive to take new software products from inception through delivery.  This is a great opportunity to join a highly talented team in a demanding and intellectually challenging environment where learning and growth is supported and actively encouraged.

 

Candidates MUST have project leading / team leading experience.  Agile Product Owner experience highly desirable.

  • Work with the Program Manager to manage product roadmap and backlog across globally dispersed stakeholders and manage expectations and relationships with senior business leaders

  • Work with the team to provide all information required by the developers to produce accurate estimates where possible in planning sessions

  • Interact with business users to produce appropriately detailed and accurate requirements and stories

  • Act as a lead and work with the team to deliver stories successfully

  • Work with and help other technical analysts & developers to take group responsibility and ensure that the team can deliver on committed objectives.

  • Ensure that stories are fully understood and any extra information required by the developers is fed back to them

  • Build subject matter expertise on business process, regulation and application functional expertise

  • Ensure team engagement and hands on participation in functional testing, investigation of issues and ensure the team is proactively engaged. 

Additional leadership responsibilities will include -

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to more junior Technical Analyst

  • Provide regular feedback to the team on performance and any suggestions or concerns in retrospective sessions

  • Participate as a member of the program leadership team, offering regular insight into views on how the program is progressing and providing recommendations on how to continually improve.

  • Work with team members to facilitate best practices in agile approach (i.e., BAs, Dev, QA disciplines)

  • Consider best practices and development standards when participating in designing solutions.

  • Manage a team of technical analysts with varying skillsets and levels of business and technical knowledge.

Additional qualifications –

  • 7-10 years minimum experience in technology business analysis and project leadership

  • Technical background

  • Flexibility to travel (up to 25%)

  • Experience in Agile, as well as other diverse methodologies
