Job Description:
The Engineer Manager within CCB STS Monitoring team will manage monitoring tool instrumentation of all critical and non-critical applications within CCB. You will manage a large team of engineer leads and associates across multiple locations to build and maintain monitoring solutions using leading monitoring solutions such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Wily and BSM. You will develop and maintain reference architecture of monitoring tools as well as manage vendor relationship.
Responsibilities include:
  • Define and manage Organizational and team specific goals and progress of goals throughout the year.
  • Total ownership of monitoring solutions. You will be required to build and manage state of the art monitoring solutions for critical and non-critical applications.
  • Build and manage development and career goals of employees of a large geo diverse team.
  • Manage one or more Agile Teams delivering quality monitoring solutions in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintain relationship with Command Center, Production Support and Application Development leaders within JPMC.
  • Build and manage Capacity vs Demand model, budget and resource forecast.
  • Build and manage service contract with vendors often resulting in tough pricing negotiation.
  • Manage large enterprise release related activities including building release playbook and flawless execution.
  • Build and manage reference architecture of monitoring tools and dashboards.
  • 10+ years of experience as a leader in Information Technology.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Manager in building and delivering quality software applications and/or monitoring solutions for software applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in working with vendor products and manage vendor relationship.
  • 3+ years of experience working with various monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Wily or BSM.
  • 1+ years of experience with Agile Methodology and managing Agile Teams.
  • Ability to manage geographically distributed and culturally diverse teams of Fulltime Employees and Consultants.
  • Must have excellent judgment and decision making and proven ability to make complex decisions based on prior experience.
  • Must have hands on experience in software application delivery life cycle.
  • Must have experience with various Operating Systems and Application Architecture.
  • Passionate in building and managing development/career plans of team members.
  • Experience with budget and resource forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skillset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
