PAG Underwriter - Tampa , FL

Job Description

The PAG Underwriter is responsible for performing a detailed review of Condominium, Cooperative and Attached PUD project documentation received from multiple channels including Retail, Consumer Direct (CD), Correspondent, Home Equity, Rural Housing and the Private Bank. Underwrites all project review types.  Reviews all project documentation including, but is not limited to - Appraisals, Budgets, Financial Statements, Reserve Studies, Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs), Offering Plans (& Amendments), By-Laws, Surveys, Plat Maps, Flood Maps, Engineers Report, Environmental Assessments, Insurance Declarations and Policies, Leasehold Agreements, and Project Questionnaires. Recommends or requests Agency and Portfolio exceptions. Performs data entry of key project information in the Project system of record.  Fannie Mae Condo Project Manager and Fannie Mae CVAS are required.


  • Evaluate new and existing project documentation including, but not limited to, Appraisals, Budgets, Financial Statements, Reserve Studies, Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs), Offering Plans (& Amendments), By-Laws, Surveys, Plat Maps, Flood Maps, Engineers Report, Environmental Assessments, Insurance Declarations and Policies, Leasehold Agreements, and Project Questionnaires to determine acceptability with Chase lending policies.
  • Work with internal partners to assist high profile customers in determining if a project or individual loan requests meet eligible Condo, Cooperative and Attached PUD classifications and product specifications. 
  • Achieve targets for productivity, quality and partner satisfaction.
  • Contact outside third parties on occasion to obtain additional information, as required. 

 

  • Minimum 2 years experience in  underwriting credit and collateral or minimum 3 years experience underwriting condo or cooperative transactions
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in mortgage banking business
  • Expert knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and Chase residential project guidelines
  • Familiar with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA credit and collateral policy
  •  Experience analyzing  complex financial information and appraisals
  • Database input
  • Microsoft products, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Providing excellent customer/partner service
  • Working in a team environment
  • Working in a fast paced high volume environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree preferred
