Job Summary
Serve as a Cyber Exercise Planner responsible for ensuring successful planning, design, conduct, and evaluation of both internal and external discussion-based and operations-based cybersecurity exercises, drills, and network simulations.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Coordinate with business, technology, and other key stakeholders across the firm to develop tailored exercise scenarios that achieve key cyber incident response objectives
  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of exercises, drills, and network simulations, to include: determining scope/objectives, exercise format, desired participants, scenario threads, evaluation criteria, and developing exercise materials (e.g., Situation Manuals, briefing decks, participant rosters/surveys, Master Scenario Events Lists, etc.)
  • Conduct post-exercise after-action reporting and assessment, synthesize corrective actions, and implement tracking/monitoring of progress in order to measure improvements and design future exercises to validate those improvements.
Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Cyberspace, Information Assurance, and/or Banking/Finance (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree).
  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience working within, the US financial services sector is a plus
  • Strong familiarity with how the US and key international financial systems operate, to include an understanding of current cyber threats against these systems
  • Experience interpreting cyber threat analysis of adversary techniques, tactics, and procedures used to disrupt computer networks
  • Strong experience with cyberspace domain analysis/operations, network engineering, threat intelligence,  and/or  other IT-centric disciplines
  • Experience developing and presenting briefings to senior leaders
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on PowerPoint
