QA Manager  

Within Risk & Finance Technology, the QA Manager will be part of the Gl, Finapps, Tax and Global Supplier Services QA function, supporting end-to-end planning and testing of projects .


Role Description

Key responsibilities include:

The QA Manager will be expected to manage testing for large complex projects including management of  testing effort, providing estimates, creating test strategies and plan and ensuring all testing is executed per plan. The individual will also be responsible for closely working with all stakeholder communications including planning, defect and risk resolutions and assisting with UAT planning. Specifically, the individual's responsibilities will include:  

    • Analysis and Review of Functional Requirements and Design Specifications. 
    • Creation of Test Approach and Test plans for testing. 
    • Working with all stakeholders – tech and business to ensure testing is executed as planned
    • Coordination and communication related to testing progress, risks, mitigations and re-plans
    • Designing and Creation of metrics to track efficiency and productivity 
    • Work in a global Team – Offhshore, UK and US
    • Help implement and improvise on the best practices
    • Ensure testing readiness (entrance) , define success criteria and ensure completion is demonstrated inline with the defined criteria with any open items clearly articulated and communicated



Essential Skills

  • B.S. or B.A. in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, of which 3+ years in leadership role.
  • Understanding of Accounting and Corporate Finance functions.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Testing experience including Test Management, scripting, execution, and defect resolution
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills to work with different teams (onsite & offshore).
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills
  • Work well with teams or in a team environment, with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure in a multi-task environment
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis and testing
  • Experience working on complex, large-scale projects
  • Experience with SAP Finapps/GL is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP business planning & Consolidation (BPC) a plus
  • Program and project management experience is a plus.
  • Coordination, negotiation, and persuasion skills

  • Facilitation of program and project level meetings
