The Firm wide Chief Development Office (FCDO) within Global Tech. Engineering & Architecture is responsible for providing thought leadership around technology development strategies, multi-year roadmaps to deliver against those strategies, establishment of platforms, process and frameworks for improved and efficient application delivery across JPMC. The FCDO office shall bring together a unified vision across Line of Businesses (LOBs) to set priorities and direction around the Application Development capabilities, process and platforms for the firm as well as define implementable firm wide common tools, frameworks and processes to improve developer productivity and efficiencies.
The team is made up of senior professionals who apply and coach lean and agile software development and who care passionately about building great quality software products.     The team is looking to help lead and facilitate lean and agile software development change firm-wide using proven modern software practices and principles.
 
The team is looking for a strong agile skilled technologist and developer, well practiced in lean and agile development. The candidate should have strong leadership skills and should be able to help define agile strategies, define best practices, present to and train/coach technology team members at all levels from CDP to MD as well as develop and deliver tools and utilities.
 
The technologies used will vary based on the product and requirements so we require smart, versatile developers, who can rise to the challenge, select appropriate technologies and master necessary knowledge/skills quickly.
Required:
  • Ability to drive large technical adoption changes  across various teams and lines of business
  • Hands-on, technology/technical practice-focused developer/architect, who enjoys working through hard technical problems and with track record of delivery, whether in previous professional roles, college or personal projects (for instance open source software contributions)
  • 8-10 years of hands-on Application Development work experience.
  • Experience with popular programming languages such as C++, Java, C# and/or Python is required.
  • A strong comprehension of Computer Science fundamentals (object oriented analysis and design, UML, data structures, algorithms,  design patterns, interface design) is preferred over specific experience with a particular programming language.
  • Experience with proven modern practices such as visual modeling, acceptance test driven development, Continuous integration
  • Software development experience in a Lean and Agile environment, along with Lean and Agile, OOAD, UML, TDD and CI.
  • Strong communication skills is a must.
