Finance Reference Data (FRD) is responsible for providing a wide range of Finance and Accounting services to Business and Finance clients globally. Services include managing all aspects of core Financial Data Dimensions including Legal Entity, Business Unit, GL Account, Product, and Data Source.  The FRD team performs transaction processing for add/change/close requests, provides data content analysis & mapping support across all Lines of Business, supports cross-firm project efforts related to Business, Regulatory, and Conversion events, and engages in a variety of support activities (Re-engineering, Production Support, Process/Policy/Procedure Management, Metrics Reporting, Controls, and Service Support). 

 

Will have the responsibility of working for the FRD Project Manager to manage and deliver key projects supporting General Ledger, MIS, and other Finance related events.  This position will interact with FRD Operations, FRD Technology, other Finance Project Teams, other Global Finance Operations and Technology areas, Line of Business Stakeholders and Corporate Reporting to drive the FRD Business Requirements through the full project life cycle.  Responsibilities may include but not limited too: 

  • Create & manage project plans
  • Obtain &document business requirements by interacting with all stakeholders
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts
  • Assist with defining and documenting operating models
  • Generate process flow diagrams and other required documentation where applicable
  • Conduct significant data mining & analysis to support recommendations and necessary action items. 
  • Ability to relate application to data used and how it is stored in various tables in the database
  • Review data in database using SQL
  • Assist clients with FRD process and content
  • Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively manage a small staff
  • Solution best way to approach requirements from application and data perspective        
  • Maintain partnership with Client, FRD Technology and Operations on the Design, Build, and Testing of requirements
  • Assist clients with FRD process and content
  • Assist in preparing status reports
  • Assist in managing the overall project governance

  • Ability to draw conclusions from data analysis and effectively communicate them to management and project team

  

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years professional experience; 2+ years of project experience
  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables concurrently to deliver high quality results in committed timeframes
  • Partnership-oriented and team player with ability to communicate with all staff levels within and outside of own area
  • Self-starter with excellent leadership, interpersonal and project management skills
  • Strong data mining, problem solving, & analytical skills with ability to summarize findings
  • Organized & detail-oriented
  • Proficiency MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Access. Experience with QC and other testing tools a plus
  • Familiarity with SAP and/or Oracle ERP systems, JPMC financial processes , and a solid understanding of reference data infrastructure including repositories and maintenance
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with ALM or other testing tools
  • Proficiency with SharePoint is a plus
