J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management Hedge Fund Solutions (JPMAAM HFS) has been dedicated to the management of hedge fund products and solutions for 21 years. With 80 professionals globally and approximately $12.6 billion in assets, JPMAAM offers a broad range of products and capabilities to help investors achieve their strategic hedge fund and asset allocation objectives. These solutions include, but are not limited to, multi-manager/multi-strategy portfolios, strategy specific portfolios such as equity or credit focused, and other specialized strategies.  The client solutions group is responsible for sales, relationship management and acts as product specialist for the hedge fund group.    


Potential Role and Responsibilities    

  • Work with senior sales professionals to win and retain business    
  • Service clients through portfolio commentary, account reviews, and answer their questions about hedge fund investments and the industry    
  • Update periodic client/consultant request including databases, monthly and quarterly reports, RFPs and ad hoc requests and requirements.    
  • Create marketing materials to best position group to convey differentiation    
  • Work with internal partners to identify areas of opportunity for the group    
  • Write white papers on HF industry, strategy and outlook to help initiate conversations with clients and prospects    
  • Work on new products to help penetrate new markets    
  • Help educate JPM sales force and arm them with talking points and hedge fund trade and client portfolio examples so they are well positioned to have conversations with their clients.    
  • 3-4 years financial markets experience preferably with hedge fund or fund of hedge funds or in a client focused role  
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively  
  • Ability to understand changing business and industry environment  
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Internet/Intranet  
  • Ability to learn proprietary software and databases
