Position Summary
 
The Data Quality Operations team within CCB Data Management Services is responsible for Operational support for the Data Management including Rule writing, Monitoring, Issue Intake and oversight, JIRA management and reporting.  The Team’s role also includes data validation and support of data management initiatives through the CCB Data Management team. The Business Operations Analyst will perform key analytical and rule development functions within the Data Quality team. This role will perform rule writing, rule peer reviews, proactive data monitoring and documentation
 
Business Description
 
The Business Operations Analyst within Data Quality Operations partners with Data Owners and users to develop Business and technical Data quality rules. In doing so, the Business Operations Analyst is responsible for developing, tracking, testing, and researching/resolving issues with these rules as well as participating in various data quality initiatives.
 
 
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance
  • Partner with Data Owners and Data Users to profile data and to develop business and technical Data Quality Rules
  • Work with data source systems and target systems to identify data issues, data gaps, identify and recommend solutions.
  • Work with IT Partners on oversight and responsibility of technical Data Quality Facility.  Perform data modeling and data analysis as required.
  • Create, define, and maintain data life-cycle documentation representing data elements across multiple upstream and downstream systems.
  • Handle small to medium projects with guidance from manager and/or Data Stewards.
  • Act as liaison between assigned Data Steward Towers and Data Quality Operations Teams.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs.
  • Act as liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
  • Continual consulting on Data Quality as rules are developed.
 

 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent business experience.
  • 1-2 + year’s business analysis experience.
  • 1-2+ years experience in Informatica
  • 1-2+ years experience in Abinitio
  • 2+ years Experience developing  Business Data Quality (BDQ) and Technical Data Quality (TDQ) rules required
  • Proficient skills in MS Office, MS Access and SQL  
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical and logical thinking.
  • Previous experience Process flow analysis.
  • Well developed communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter, drive for results, effective at prioritizing and managing multiple complex initiatives concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently, providing structure in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle and associated controls.
  • Experience with ALM and JIRA Preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to  react to changing priorities in a “Fast-paced environment”
  • Knowledge of and experience with  Data Governance and data quality life cycle
