Credit Risk Technology - Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions technology WCAS) is responsible for building a data analytics platform to support key credit risk practices across Wholesale businesses. WCAS’ areas of responsibility include Traditional Credit Product stress testing, developing the firm's authoritative wholesale credit risk parameter data reservoir, the construction and integration of credit and capital limits, risk grading methodology, and the provision of strategic advice and solutions to the originating businesses. 


We are looking for an application Lead to manage and deliver end-to-end Wholesale Credit Risk Analytics technology solutions. In this role you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the execution of activities related to end-to-end project delivery, from scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment. The role will proactively manage delivery for multiple work streams, monitor and report on execution of deliverables, and identify, escalate and drive the resolution of risks and issues. Additionally, ensure overall quality of the project and act as the main point of contact for all work teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead all interaction with business and functional partners, define scope of projects, develop schedules/milestones/timelines, and manage all aspects of project activities

Manage projects / programs within Risk and Finance technology and will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and system engineers to evaluate and develop technologies to solve business problems

Create and manage project plans and tasks lists to co-ordinate work across functional work teams

Drive technical team coordination and execution focused toward launching new products

Conduct customer and stakeholder communication, reviews and gain signoff on all project artifacts

Prepare for and conduct periodic reviews of the project progress, accomplishments and risks


Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance of application development activities with audit and information risk and controls policies.

Act as an interface with internal audit groups.

Ensure process capability, control and improvement by developing and implementing relevant quality assurance procedures.

Analyze project risks, costs, and benefits and makes relevant adjustments with business and technology leadership teams.

Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field 
  • 10+ years of combined Delivery/execution/team management skills and experience
  • 8+ years of hands on development of Risk applications (preferred) or Financial Services applications
  • Experience with developing and deploying enterprise-scale mission critical applications and systems
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Track record of establishing and maintaining collaborative cross-organizational partnerships to achieve results.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of key software development arenas including requirements definition, functional specifications, technical design, development, test, build/deploy and systems engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with business sponsors, communicate project status, and understand requirements across multiple project initiatives
  • background in analytics, software development, system design, data management or data warehousing is required
  • Familiar with big-data technologies, data science and associated platforms is a plus
