Overview:
  • Largest Federal Operations site, processing 3.2 mm applications annually with 250 – 300 employees
  • Located in downtown Chicago, IL
  • Operates 5 days a week, 24 hours a day (Occasionally 7 days/24 hours)
  • Major functions include: Mail Extraction, Documentation Preparation, High Speed Scanning, Data Entry, Balancing and Fulfillment
Job Description:
 
Federal Operations is focused on Just-In-Time processing of checks and applications sent from our clients’ customer base seeking benefits.  The Site Manager would be responsible for managing our employees, coaching and developing the talent within the site, and delivering the performance required to exceed our objectives.  The Site Manager would also be client facing, building internal relationships and ensuring client expectations are being met.
 
As the Operations Manager in our Chicago Citizenship and Immigration Services site, your responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
  • Manages a staff of 300 full and temporary employees
  • Manages 24/5 operation of documents, checks, high speed scanning equipment and multiple deadlines (Occasionally 24/7)
  • Interacts with senior management, clients and functional partners
  • Improve the customer’s experience by meeting or exceeding all clients’ “Service Level Agreements”
  • Manage an annual expense budget of $18mm
  • Exceed objectives around productivity, quality and timeliness
  • Develop talent to expand opportunities for advancement and mobility
 
  • Industry related degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading organizational and operational change initiatives is mandatory
  • A minimum of 7 years experience managing medium to large departments, including budget responsibility
  • Experienced with a culture of driven continuous improvement and managing with data
  • Excellent financial skills, ability to manage large budgets
