Human Resources Technology (HRT) is the central steward for the design, build, and asset management for the firm’s Human Capital technology across all lines of business and global regions.  JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) is competitive across the financial services industry in our workforce strategy capabilities.  In partnership with our HR business partners and service providers, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients – JPMC employees.  HRT provides technology support for staffing and on-boarding, employee records, payroll, talent management, compensation, pension, benefits, learning, employee and manager self-service, workforce planning and analytics, and back office call center operations.
 
The PeopleSoft Pension Application Developer will report to the PeopleSoft Application Development Manager.  This role will be to support and enhance the PeopleSoft Pension Administration module, which is the system of record for employee Pension data.   Enhancements allow for significant savings to JPMC as well as provide for improved services to JPMC employees, such as the development of online functionality.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain existing customizations and application functionality
  • Debug production issues
  • Develop new Pages/Reports/Interfaces
  • Develop new application enhancements
  • Write technical specifications
  • Document system changes
  • Review technical designs to ensure compliance with organizational standards
 
 
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, or related field
    • Minimum of 5+years of PeopleSoft HCM Application Development experience (Pension, Benefits, and/or Payroll)
       
    Preferred Skills:
    • Working knowledge of Pension fundamentals: Cash Plans and Final Pay Plans; Pension Administration; Actuarial Factor usage and principles; Pension Plan Setup
    • Proficient in PeopleSoft technical programming languages:  SQR/SQC; Application Designer; PeopleCode; Component creation and search records; Page, Table, and View Design
    • Strong SQL Queries and Relational Database development; Stored Procedures
    • COBOL experience; Microfocus COBOL development and animation debugging a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Self confident, self directed, and ability to work with various levels of staff and management
    • Skilled in problem solving and analytical reasoning
    • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
