Global Portfolio Implementation (GPI) sits within AM Operations and provides portfolio implementation services for discretionary accounts both internally and at third party institutions focusing on rebalancing and risk management activities. The team supports products and strategies from both Global Wealth and Global Investment Management including CSP, CAP, TAP, OAP, Grid, and Wrap accounts.

GPI is responsible for over 400K JPMC and external client accounts with over $120B in AUM. The team is split into functions covering Portfolio Administration, Trading, Business Management, Performance, Technology, and Transformation with current locations in NY and OH.

Position Description:

The reporting manager is responsible for the delivery, quality, and improvement of MIS within GPI.

The reporting manager will support senior business management needs and strategic analysis through both ad-hoc and production of periodic reports including modeling future opportunities, assessing process improvements, using trend analysis to build case studies, and maintaining industry and competitive research.

This role requires interpretation of data, as well as identifying trends that may influence both short and long term management decisions.

This role will require a thorough understanding of GPI data, sources, uses, relationships, trends, and representations / visualizations.

The reporting manager will also work with both internal and external business partners, including the Global Strategic Relationship team, third party financial intermediaries, and industry data research firms such as Cerulli and Money Management Institute.

The reporting manager will seek to improve reporting processes through query development, leveraging enterprise data systems, and support of data warehouse / business intelligence programs.

We are seeking an individual who will not only be able to deliver on our current reporting needs, but will help drive the development of our next generation reporting infrastructure and support process improvement for reporting and MIS.


  • Lead the production of GPI monthly reporting including sourcing data, collaborating with business partners, and developing the final MIS
  • Lead the production of GPI reporting in support of various management readouts (e.g. QBRs, SteerCo Meetings, and Management Meetings)
  • Work with the Operations reporting team to ensure timeliness and quality of data to support Ops management reporting requirements
  • Ensure quality of data through internal and month over month quality checks
  • Work with technology to define requirements to improve availability / quality of data as well as to improve production time
  • Define requirements for dashboards and additional reporting
  • Maintain the GPI Capacity Model to support senior management in assessing headcount needs


  • Familiarity with capital markets, security and portfolio data; managed account experience is preferred
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of the managed accounts business
  • Advanced / Expert level Excel skills; ability to develop / maintain VBA & Macros is a plus
  • Advanced Access and SharePoint skills
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and structure; ability to develop queries in SQL is a plus
  • Understanding of data warehouse / business intelligence concepts; ability to define data warehouse schema and/or use Business Objects (or similar tool) is a plus
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Innate desire to improve, automate, and improve controls in existing processes
