Valuations Quality Analyst - Jacksonville, FL

Job Description

The Valuations Quality Analyst will review Chase Mortgage Banking Valuations processes based on regulatory and internal guidelines, perform research and analysis on risk information, and make recommendations to management for all matters pertaining to processes, planning and operational efficiency.

 

In conjunction with the Operations Business Analyst  Manager, guide and influence processes and validate the translation of quality review results into business feedback and technical solutions.  

 

Performs non-complex analytic tasks including reviewing report performance data performance against established metrics. Using available reporting tools, assist the business in meeting operational objectives.  Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and suggest viable solutions to ineffective processes by working closely with Operations Business Analyst Manager and business partners to isolate exception root-causes, eliminate defects and drive variation out of operational processes to positively impact performance for the long-term.

  • Perform loan level reviews on various valuations functions including but not limited to collateral underwriting.
  • Participate with Operations to perform procedure/control break root cause analysis as directed by management and recommend improvements.
  • Provide timely and  actionable feedback on testing results to the management team.
  • Assist management with the development and execution of business calibration meetings.
  • Perform special quality assurance projects as directed by management.

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.   Bachelors Degree
  •  preferred.
  • Prior default UW experience preferred 
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Proven track record of project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively Interact with all levels of management
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze detailed business requirements, raise questions and seek resolution to outstanding clarifications required.
  • Must demonstrate strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and handle multiple task
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information is at a business level
