Ops Analyst I - (Default Investor Reporting) - Jacksonville, FL

Job Description

 

An Operations Analyst reviews, develops and improves business processes focusing on minimizing potential risk and financial loss to the firm as well as its clientele.  The Analyst will maximize operational efficiency and the overall quality of the data in which the department utilizes in its external reports. 

Perform loan level quality analysis of daily reports for the investor and insurer customers we service for (GSE’s, HUD, VA, USDA, Mortgage Insurance Companies, Private Investors, etc) to resolve and track any known anomalies consistently. Candidate will work closely with the portfolio manager to discuss discrepancies and suggest any potential resolutions. Perform as a liaison for the Firm in our relationships with all investors and insurers for the delivery of contractually/Federally required default reports. Candidate must be able to identify best business practices, process gaps, challenge assumptions, create customized business rules and coordinate and/or perform user acceptance testing of new technology and/or reports. The candidate is expected to cross train in all reporting functions for all investor and insurer entities that we transmit default reporting data to. Due to sensitive reporting initiatives and guidelines, candidate will be expected (when necessary) to work long hours during month end and beginning of month edit window reporting periods.

 

 

  • Ability to accurately identify solutions, plus flexibility, adherence to stringent deadlines, and organize and prioritize work.
  • High level of oral and written presentation skills required for various discussions with internal and external senior level management, auditors and investor partners.
  • Minimum of four years Mortgage, Default Servicing experience strongly preferred
  • Professional attitude and work ethic
  • Ability to multitask, and prioritize assignments independently
  • Ability to research and process information quickly
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow implicit contractual and federal guidelines
  • Proficient with MS Office Products (high level MS Excel skills required as well as a functional knowledge of using MS Access databases created by MIS teams for reconciliation purposes)
  • Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control Methodology
  • Experience with analyzing documented procedures/processes
